Picked this up to check out the selection of colors that TTY3D offers at a reasonable price. Package has 18 silk PLA colors, a disappearing purple glue stick, and a vial of 10 nozzle cleaning needles. This is a nice set because it lets you affordably assess which colors are worth buying in a full size roll. The individual colors are rather short at 4m long but when used sparingly as accent colors on things like keychains, I enjoy having the selection. ... show more

The colors are pretty and the filament is packaged well. When I initially tried to use this filament with my MYNT3D 3D Pen Pro I couldn't get it to feed thru the pen so my immediate thought was that it wasn't compatible with my 3D pen but after inspecting the inner workings of the pen, realized that there was some filament that had clogged the barrel of the pen that needed to be removed before the new filament could feed through properly.. I really do like the colors of this silk filament. It is only a sample pk so you're not getting a lot of each color but it is a decent samplibg of 18 different beautiful silk colors that can be used for smaller 3D Pen projects. I havent gone though all the samples yet but so far they are wonderful! The silk pla looks great, has given me wonderful results and I only have a few minor gripes. - while the variaty is wonderful, I do wish the little rolls came with some form of a label to accurately depict which color is which and possibly with a QR link to a listing with a full sized roll. there is a slip of paper with info like this but it would be nice if it was more direct to the individual rolls - a better way they were wrapped. the little pieced of tape were rather hard for me to remove and left residue on the filament. luckilly it wasnt an issue but possibly could be for some i imagine. plus was all just in one bag so they came abit tangled. might be better to have individually wrapped them then placed in a single bag. just an idea ... show more

There's not enough length in each sample to really print anything. I wasted more filament extruding than actual printing. It's stated that they are 4 meters in length, but I question that and didn't really measure it, so it's only my claim. It would have been so much better if they doubled the length of each sample filament so people can comfortably print something large enough to see the quality. This is my opinion. ... show more

I just got the sampler pack, so I can't speak to using tons of this, or for a long time, but what I've used I really like. I have a Prusa MINI+ and found 190deg extruder temp is best (195 first layer). The colors come out a little duller than when the filament goes in, but not by much.
