The subject line says it all. Trying to hold a 45 - 50 pound bag while standing on a bathroom scale is not exactly convenient, although we have done it for years, so this is a major improvement. The key to remember is that every scale needs to be calibrated, and these need to be calibrated frequently. Using a set of free weights, where the weight is known, after just a few uses, the weight could be off by as much as 10%. Not an issue if the weight limit before over charges is 50lbs and the current weight is reading 38lbs, but you definitely want to be careful and err on the side of caution if the current weight instead is reading 48lbs. I recalibrate and take multiple measurementst be safe. That said, for the price, it is a great convenience, and having two means that one can travel. ... show more
