Its a waste of money. Recently bought this scooter. Used it at 2 events. Took it to the third event and it's all messed up. If you turn on the key, the thing takes off like full throttle. I am 5'9", 220 lb man. I got my scooter today. Put it together, no problem, but I am a carpenter and a bit of an engineer. It came with quite a bit of charge. So that was great. The adjustments were easy to make and straightforward for me. I do fit on the scooter. But only just. This is a teenager's scooter. I feel like I am over the scooters actual capacity. It feels like it is struggling to accelerate. I can't go up much of a grade, like 1% grade, without slowing down. So it doesn't have much power if it's pushing a 220 lb person. The seat clamps well enough once it's adjusted properly. It does have a decent range of adjustment for the seat height. It seems pretty well designed and built. The folding action works fine. I took it for a test drive, and it's very squirrely. The thing doesn't weigh much. That is a benefit for some people, I can carry it upstairs with no problem. Or downstairs. I took the basket off because it's tiny and I have a backpack. That being said, I'm going to ride it to work tomorrow, And I will see how it does. Would not recommend if you travel in snow and ice a lot. The little tires and high center of gravity (mainly the rider, which isn't so bad if you are a smaller person) means that it can be difficult to control over rough terrain. There's not much for shocks, the seat provides a little bit of shock absorption and the pneumatic tires apply a little bit of a shock absorption, but other than that it is a rough ride. As far as the value for money, it's a entry level. And I did not think I would be saying that about a $250 purchase. I got it on sale which was wonderful, so I'd say for that money, it was a decent value. It means I don't have to walk. ... show more
