I live in a house with my 35lb Sheltie and my mom’s two little yorkies. They all love this to chew, fetch, tug-of-war, and play keep-away. The yorkies are obsessed with squeakers (it is their life mission to endlessly squeak and destroy squeakers), so I love that the squeaker is so durable. Jan, 2024 No toy is chew proof, but this one is pretty 1well made. We used to buy a lot of Zippy Paws Donutz, but they really pissed me off when they moved their wholesalers to Faire. This donut is about the same size, but is made from strong corduroy and the only plastic is the well padded squeaker. Zippy Paws are made from a really cheap plush material that will rip if you even look at it crossways! And that crappy material covers very thin, blown plastic that is easily destroyed by even the smallest dogs. This toy does float, despite being almost all corduroy and padding. I hope that I can get many more to replace the Zippy Paws that are so inferior to these! Update: Dec 2024. I have now used one of these donuts for an entire year. I looked at it yesterday and it has ONE popped stitch! A dedicated toy destroyer with no supervision *could* destroy this, but considering that it is used by many dogs with various degrees of oversight, I say it's a damn fine toy! My dog really loved this toy. I got her two of them. She has finally ripped one just by the strength of her tug. It lasted fairly well. She loved the squeaker in it, and she loves playing with it and catching it and chewing on it it had a squeaker in the center, which she finally got And I got rid of it. She does not chew on the squeaker. She just likes to get it out of there, it’s a great toy for entertaining your dog, especially if they like to play tug-of-war. My dogs love these. I buy these all the time for them. It lasts about 3 months because I have English Mastiffs.. oh they ripped the eyes off first and then they start to get the stuff in and you know I watch them make sure they don’t and they break it open in a certain area. I just cut it off and now the old boy ends up being unstuffed and they play with that for a little while and then take it away from them and then buy some more lolol ... show more

I have a 3 year old Puggle who destroys every plush toy he’s had. I previously bought this in the small size and it lasted for several months, which was surprising. When it was finally time to replace it, I bought this on Amazon, not realizing it had a large size. He tore a hole in it and started tearing stuffing out in a week. I bought this as a backup so I had it for about a month before I actually gave it to him. I contacted the manufacturer, who boasts about their product guarantee. It turns out it’s only for 30 days from the date of purchase.. Amazon gives 30 day returns on almost everything anyway. I expressed my disappointment, but they’re in the money business, not the pet happiness business. I even asked the manufacturer for suggestions on how to tell my dog that he can no longer play with his favorite toy! Their answer was to give me a bunch of links to other products. I would’ve been thrilled with a refund or a replacement of the small size. Instead of buying this toy, take (9) $1 bills, give it to your dog and let them shred them. Same results. ... show more
