I hate ironing. They can stain my delicate fabrics, leave infuriating lines, take up a lot of space for the board. I never want to iron again and I think this works well enough to get me there. I do need to tighten the fabrics by hand by pulling down to get the wrinkles out but once I figured that out, I have been able to successfully use it on delicates and cotton clothing. Not sure how much faster it is but takes up less space and I like it better than using an iron. My husband hasn’t been able to figure out how to use it yet so I would say you need to be observant and want to work on your technique and if you do, you will be rewarded. I love it and never plan to iron again.

It's nice but I find it hard for me to stand and I have to hold it up to steam but I'm tall. Other then that it nice. It could have a little longer holes so u can lay down or put on a door to steam steam is nice and hot I like that with a big water tank.

When they say this True & Tidy X5A steamer is heavy duty, they’re right! There’s much to love about this steamer: - Easy to assemble; it’s basically the main/base unit with an adjustable telescopic pole for hanging garments to steam and holding the steam head with tubing. The tube easily connects to the base, as does the telescopic pole. -The telescopic pole can be raised/lowered and has a convenient hanger with clips, and the arms can be folded down for better storage. It also has a knob at the top of hanger that can be pulled out to accommodate hanging an actual hanger there, instead of using the built-in hanger. -The base unit has large wheels giving it smooth flowing movement. The water tank is 2.9L, that’s 98 ounces of water! Using distilled water only, the tank holds enough to last through at least 45-60 minutes of steaming – the manufacturer states 90+ minutes of steam time is possible. There’s a convenient drain port under the water tank to quickly and easily drain remaining water. -The steam head is sizeable but not overly so, it’s very conducive to steaming large items like upholstered furniture just as much as garments like a jacket or dress. It came with a brush attachment for use with things like upholstery, curtains, etc. The handle is also an ideal size and feels ergonomic and comfortable to hold and maneuver. -Additionally, the tubing is quality and thick with insulation whereby the intense heat generated by the steam flowing through doesn’t make the tubing too hot to handle or touch…you feel the warmth/heat but can still hold it in your hand. Though I do wish the tubing were a bit longer to better accommodate steaming hanging curtains and couches (for instance). -The cord has an attached Velcro closure to keep it wrapped nicely and neatly when storing. As an aside, I also wish the cord was longer – the length is decent, but it limits the ease of movement with the unit when steaming something large like a couch and needing to maneuver all around it. In that case, an extension cord has to be used which isn’t as efficient or convenient as it otherwise could be. I used the unit with the brush attachment to steam a large, upholstered couch and ottoman in our rec room, and it turned out fantastic! After assembling the few parts and filling the tank with distilled water, I turned the power dial located on the base unit to the highest setting/3 (you can choose from 1, 2, or 3). It took less than a minute for steam to start flowing from the head. It’s SUPER quiet, so much so that after first turning it on I had to bend down close to the base to listen and make sure it was actually on! The steam is constant, absolutely NO sputtering and I only observed maybe 3 small drips of water while steaming an entire couch with ottoman…excellent! The entire job took me about 35-40 mins to complete and in the end I was left with about 1/4 of water in the tank. Everything about this unit is quality for the price…a great bargain, as I’m hoping this unit lasts for many years to come. Definitely recommended!

So I hate to iron and use a handheld Dyson steamer when I need to get the wrinkles out of my collared shirts. The Dyson works well for my needs and so does this but I think I'll just stick to my handheld for the compact factor. This steamer isn't any better than the handheld Dyson. They are both the same max wattage. This True & Tidy seems to go through water more quickly though. Maybe since it doesn't have any kind of pause feature. So it's still going as you prep and swap clothing. It's nice to have the hanger options but it's hard to swivel without the whole unit spinning around. And if you grab a sleeve to stretch it out, the steamer is a little tipsy. I also don't care for the big brush. My Dyson handheld has a soft fabric cover that works much better. The brush on this snags on the clothing. I'm sure this will serve the purpose for others. I do have to get creative in hanging my clothes while using the Dyson handheld but it doesn't take up all too much space and can easily go under the bathroom sink.

Now this is a clothes steamer. It holds up very well and also makes it easy to use to steam entire garments without having to move the clothes around. You just move the wand. It does exactly as advertised, especially the amount of time you have to steam the garments. The steamer isn't too hot where it becomes hard to hold, but it does hold just enough heat to do the job as expected when getting wrinkles out. The pole holding your garments is super sturdy and I like that this has wheels since it is easy to move around. I can recommend this product.
