OK, If you are like me, someone who LOVES cats, but HATES the smell, the mess and unsightly view of a liter pan, this liter pan enclosure is for you! It matches my back porch/laundry room furniture and fits right in as if it were a piece of furniture itself. Well, that takes care of unsightly. Next up, liter box mess...this solves it all! No tracking, liter stays in the enclosure/liter pan. Mess - check, resolved. Let's move on to smell....I smell absolutely nothing! I no longer smell liter, or the liter pan itself. I bought a liter pan with sides to put in it and used a liter that helps with tracking and is unscented - oh liter that also only needs a complete liter box change once every 30 days. I will post a link to those two items at the end of this review. OK, so now lets talk about the complaints you see others express in these reviews. Ease of assembly. I put it together myself in about 1/2 hour. I read the instructions first and became familiar with the "parts" before starting. Very easy to put together. Tips, when you are dealing with MDF board NEVER ever over tighten anything. Tip # 2, whenever I have put together items using MDF that includes wooden dowels in assembly, I always roll each dowel end in wood glue. This once it is assembled and dried, will make it very sturdy. Final tip - this is a liter pan enclosure, not a coffee table (even though it could pass as one) and is not furniture quality. It is MDF wood…treat this piece as such and it will last a long time. I am LOVING this liter pan enclosure. Super cute and works! • Great end table litter box
Color: Espresso-Brown
Update: after 1 year of use I have just bought a replacement for this box. Because the dimensions are somewhat small, a hooded litter box would not fit inside, causing some misses by the cats. The trapped liquids quickly soaked into the particle board, causing it to bubble, swell, and smell. Otherwise, it is still in good shape but I would highly recommend lining the interior with waterproofing mats. Original review: I assembled this box with my husband in about an hour, it has withstood two cats for the past four months and is still in excellent condition. Hides litterbox smell so well that people don't realize what it is unless they sit next to it and see the door ... show more

    • Cute and compact, but comes with strong chemical smell
Color: Gray
This is a nice and compact litter box enclosure that also looks cute, which is exactly what I am looking for! It was easy to assemble and the instructions are clear. In terms of the size, before purchasing, it seemed like our litter box wouldn't fit based on the dimension provided, but it actually does. We have the Amazon basics litter box and it fits perfectly (https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Basics-Litter-Sides-Scoop/dp/B0B7JKP75J/ref=asc_df_B0B7JKP75J/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=642110088397&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14118847478594330491&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031119&hvtargid=pla-1943975722999&mcid=05b86b5b8e623b1abe23fdcddb84ea2d&th=1). Anything larger than the one we have would not be able to fit in. One thing to note though. I noticed a strong chemical smell when I opened the box. I think it will take a while for the smell to go away. Aside from that I am really happy with this purchase. ... show more

    • Improvements since the first one purchased
Color: Gray
I purchased this exact item in 2020 and really liked it until about 6 months in, the peg that the door was held to the top with put too much pressure on the hole on the door causing it to crack and fall off. We took the door and wood glued and clamped the cracked piece. Repeat every 6 months. Decided to spend the money to get a new one hoping the first flaw was a single experience. This one comes with a door that attaches by hinges. Perfect! ... show more

This is our second one in five years! We love it so much because it matches the bathroom cabinet and it’s easy to clean. Looks expensive!

    • Good for price
Color: Espresso-Brown
I read a lot of the reviews before I purchased this. A lot of people said it was flimsy or cheap feeling. I actually thought it was very sturdy and good quality for the price. It does take a bit of time to put together but the instructions were clear and easy. I had no problem fitting my size ‘large’ litter box from Walmart in there. I did read some people say that it did a good job at containing the smell and that’s the one thing I disagree on. I saw review pictures with it out in peoples living rooms and everything and I have no clue how they do that. We had to put ours in our bathroom instead of the laundry room where I had intended to place it because I just couldn’t stand the smell around clean clothes. But yeah I think for the price and for the purpose, it’s a good product. ... show more

Doesn’t matter what size box you put in here or how often you clean it, pee ends up under it and pools in the bottom on the cabinet. Which I was worried would leak out and soak into my carpet. I ended up having to putting paper towels or puppy pads in the bottom. It’s been falling apart since the first week of use. We had to reattach the lock several times. So I decided to just get some close top litter boxes and call it a day. ... show more
