When a lot of the hair on my head began to disappear my wife suggested that I try Biotin (a B complex vitamin) which plays an important role in maintaining the health of the eyes, hair, liver, nervous system, and skin. It's primary function is helping in the digestion of other nutrients by allowing various enzymes to work. I now have longer and faster growing finger/toes nails and my hair growth has also accelerated. Unfortunately it has done little to repair the hair on the top of my head but it has resulted in a fuller ponytail. And that is the primary reason for buying this TRESsemme hair gel. My blond hair has always been thin and dry so getting it into a presentable ponytail without damaging the hair is a bit difficult. This gel does the trick without making it look plastered down while keeping it from blowing loose in the wind. On the other hand this product has also become very useful in helping to control two other areas of hair growth that have also accelerated. My nasal hair has sprouted like a bougainvillea vine and requires constant attention to get it under control. When I don't have the time to trim it (without hurting myself) I simply twist each set of nostril nairs into a Viking style braid before I go out in public. Unfortunately when I use a bit too much gel it looks like I have a nasal drip. This can be off-putting when dining with other people. My ear hair on the other hand is often wrapped back into my primary ponytail by mistake. I couldn't figure out why on some days I had an increase in pressure on both ears and learned by holding up a mirror that the hair on the outside of my ears was tangled in with the hair from the back of my head. This results in an unusual look which makes it appear that my ears have been pinned back. Cutting that hair back weekly is the only regimen that controls it.

I started using this brand of hair gel a couple of years ago. It helps hold the style in place when I blow dry my hair. I do have to be conscious of how much I use though since too much makes my hair hard to comb or brush if I attempt to dampen it for a re-style. Since this was a pack of 2, the price was reasonable. I use the same brand for the non-aerosol hair spray.

I love it. I am a guy who likes to slick his curly hair whenever I go out. Just wet your hair slightly, spread out a few drops against the fingers of both hands, work the gel through your hair real good and evenly, then start shaping with your hands, comb, or pick. Personally, I comb my sides flat, then use a pick to lift up the curly hair on the top. It doesn't hold up my hair too much beyond my liking, and it doesn't drop flat. My sister saw how I did my hair with this and she loved the look. It is a great buy.

Every woman has to find what works for her. I have EXTREMELY thin hair that is very hard to get stand up at the roots. This is my go to product for blow drying that actually gets my hair to stand up during blow drying and keep me from looking like I just came in from the rain. Love it!!!!
