I was surprised that the whole box weighed less that 80lbs for a swing set. The wood is light and felt kind of dry, so I went ahead and gave it all another coat of of water seal before I put it together. I assembled it by myself in about 4 hours (that included me brushing the water seal on all of it). My wife and adult daughter came out as I was adding the first swing and had not anchored it yet, my wife tried to swing on it (she weighs about 135 lbs) and the swing was starting to come off the ground. They were not impressed, but I said I was still working on it. They did come out later after I had strapped it to the anchors and it did much better. You will want to anchor it to the ground and it does comes with anchors and straps. They were both in agreement that they thought it was nice looking and would work for our grandkids, but felt it was a little pricey. After looking online at comparing, it is a little higher than some, but in fairness, I would have to see some of the others in person to really compare. I am not a carpenter and am not real familiar with all woods, but when you say something is cedar I expect a cedar feel and smell? This felt more like a pine than had been stained/sealed with a red wash. I could be wrong, but the wood was soft. Even tightening the bolts, the washer sunk into the wood. All said and done, I do feel like we have a good swings that should last many years and would recommend to others. The price kept me from going 5-stars.

This is a very simple and fun swing set to have. We have a limited patch in our backyard and wanted to fit something small in it for our girls to play with until the rest of our property is cleared out. As seen in our pictures, this set fits perfectly in our small inner backyard. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow. There were 2 pieces of wood that has some light cracking but it was along the edging of the wood and not the center support of the wood, which is to be expected especially if the wood is sitting for some time. It is pressure treated wood so should hold up to the elements. This set also came with two regular swings as well as the trapeze attachment in the middle. Overall, very nice if you’re just wanting some swings for your kids. The set comes with a package to anchor your set down with super large anchors so very well thought out.

This is a nice swingset. It all comes delivered in one large box. All the wood parts are Cedar, so it should last. Assembly is pretty easy, and instructions are good. All the hardware is well organized. Pay attention to which direction you install things, to prevent having to go back later and change them back around! Once it's up and assembled, anchor it into the ground and you're ready to go. It took us about 2 hours from the box until it was up and ready to go.

This swing set is not quite as stable as I thought it would be. It definitely rocks and twists when my kids (4 and 7) swing on it, even with the anchors. The anchors are 100 percent necessary. I like that it comes with everything, lumber included. I like the swings being interchangeable (and the chain length is easy to adjust). The instructions were clear and it was pretty easy to put together, it took a couple of hours to assemble. My kids really enjoy it. The lumber is 2x4s on the upright side pieces, 1x4 on the bottom cross brace, and 2x6 across the top. It has powder coated steel reinforcement plates. The lumber is cedar, but it's hard to tell if it's been sealed or just stained. It's not pressure treated wood. Overall my kids are happy with it, but it seems a bit overpriced for what it is.

This is a great add on or stand alone for the backyard. Setup was fairly simple. We had swings and monkey bars in use within 45 minutes. The wood seems to be good quality and has a protective coating. The hardware hasn't tarnished so far. No complaints other than lumber prices have made these items quite expensive. Good quality and arrived without damage.

I had such difficulty with the directions even though they looked like they should be clear. I think a marking on the bottom pieces for 90 degrees would be very helpful. The wood was light and soft. There are anchors for the bolts that go into the wood. If you tighten the bolt too much it eats into the wood and can sort of drill out a bit. This took the two of us about 1 1/2 hours to build. I think this is great for the age range so long as someone is making sure the kids aren't going too high. This NEEDS the anchors because it will lift up a bit.
