Seems to be good quality. Decent weight tubing. Springs and cable appear to be good quality and strong. Installed on 12x6’2” trailer with five foot high steel mesh loading ramp. Ramp was too heavy to raise and lower easily. Used just one set of the dual springs and ramp can be easily raised with just one hand and little effort. Trailer rails are 2” round tubing and the included bolts are too short.

Overall, a nice gate lift kit. It was easy to install, other than one issue. The trailer that I installed the kit on has angle iron rails, so the carriage bolts were way too long. The bolts would work fine on tube rails, but on angle iron, there was too much shoulder on the bolt. I was able to make some 3/8" spacers to take up the shoulder under the rail, then I cut the bolt excess off. It would be great if the kit included shorter carriage bolts, or sell one kit for thick rails and another for thin ones. I don't like close to town, so running out for shorter bolts was not a viable option.

This work very good, but take care when drill your ramp, because the wire cable don’t have the same length. Try first with the (s) tool to set the hole before do the hole. The instructions it’s not clear the image was so glared.

Should have put one on years ago. I have a Doolittle 8 x 14 trailer and is has an extremely heavy gate that is difficult to lift. This solved the problem. Now it's a one-handed operation. what a difference!! No more strained "Dead lift" operation. Looks very nice installed on trailer. Note: Hardware is metric and will work if you have flat side rails. Mine has large tube side rails so it required a trip to the hardware store for longer bolts and nuts.

Was easy to install and looks good. When you tired at the end of the day, it helps that I have help to pick up the tail gate. I really enjoy that part. And, It bolted to the the trailer. Hardware was included. Although I bought the {2Pcs Lift Cable Compatible with Gorilla Lift Trailer Gate Assist with EZ Spring Clips, with 4Pcs Aluminum Alloy Rollers Pins Washers, Fit for Open Utility Trailer Tailgate Ramp Lift Assist Kit) to increase the life of the cables and the rollers.
