    • Used this tools to replace serpentine belt for 09 Accord
I needed a tool to release the tensioner for my 09 accord to replace the serpentine belt. Bought an extra long 14mm wrench but it was still too short. This tool is exactly what I needed for the job. The tool was also useful to push the belt during installation, which took me a while. Overall, this is the tool for the job. Well, this is a specific tool for a specific job. And I needed to do that specific job so I ordered this specific tool. I have only used it once but it worked. I was expecting to just use a socket but I ended up using a crowsfoot attachment. The wrench handle is about 23 inches from top to bottom. PROS -Multiple accessories. -Flat enough to fit into hard to reach places. CONS -It would be cool if the set had an extra shorter wrench handle. Though, it is clear what is included with the set so I wasn't expecting one. ... show more

Item was great, but extremely disappointed that the vendor can’t seem to get their shipping straight. If it can only be delivered by a certain day, don’t tell me it can be delivered earlier and then, “oops, it’s late..sorry. If you don’t get it n another 3 days you can ask for a refund.” Gave no option for express delivery. Tool was fine, shipping stunk…Prime member here… ... show more

So my neighbor comes by the other day and says, "Hello Scott, can you help me replace the alternator on my van?". I told him he had me at "Hello". I soon realized that on his Dodge mini-van none of my ratchets--or any sort of cobbled together tool contraptions--was going to fit in the small space needed to loosen his serpentine belt. I told him to run to the parts store and pick up a tool and this is what he came back with (a rental). It did the job perfectly and I was so impressed with it, I bought the same one a few days later--you can never have enough tools, right? There's no better feeling than running across a situation that requires a speciality tool and knowing you have it in your tool box. It's a very well made tool kit from our friends in Taiwan. The case is very sturdy, closes securely, and holds all the pieces in place nicely with a thin foam insert that lays on top of the sockets. I try to keep tools in their original cases if possible, and it's almost required with this kit since you wouldn't want some of the special, very short sockets getting mixed up with your other tools. I'm not a professional mechanic, so I don't know all the various ways a car maker may need you to loosen their serpentine belt, but all the ways I've seen (mostly domestic and Japanese) are easily handled by this kit. I did read the one review where a Saab owner had some problems, so your results may vary. But, for my situation, this tool performed flawlessly, is manufactured well, and packaged nicely so it gets 5 stars. ... show more

    • Issue With Extension Bar
The sockets provided are low cut and are for 3/8 drive which works great with the straight bar. Once you put the extension to get a better angle you can't use the 3/8 sockets because on the end of the extension it only accepts 1/2 drive sockets. This means you can't use the lower cut sockets that come with the set. When you try to use your 1/2 in sockets they typically will not fit in the space provided by the vehicle manufacturer. I have seen this on all the other brands of this tool. Maybe someone can explain why they do this. ... show more
