I served 14 years in the marine corps. After my first two years getting haircuts every week to Marine Corps standards I decided to do the bald look and push for every other week. After 5 years in I started trying my own balls cuts to save money. So I bough and is trimmers. They were okay, so I bought high end wall trimmer. It was good. But never gave me the barber shop bald cut. So over the years I bought gimmick balding razors. Blades irritated my skin, trimmers never got close enough. I finally bought song BabyLiss pro trimmers. They were really good. I’m not a professional, so I had to get the blades zeroed, to cut close enough. Pricey, but really good. They served me well the last three years. Motor died on me. And I was looking to buy another set. But, as a civilian now, with some new friends in the civilian sector, I was shown a TPOB YouTube video by a co worker who cuts hair as his side hustle. He has the tpob goblin set, but told me the X, would be a game changer for me. Well, I ordered, I received it and out of the box, this trimmer with the psycho blade is insane! I’ve NEVER had a cut this close, without irritation to my scalp. The crunch of this blade eating through hair is both satisfying and lets you know once you’ve eaten up all the hair you’re targeting. The fact this trimmer cost almost 50% less then my babyliss trimmers were, is hard to believe. TPOB, is a real one! Quality Professional gear, at novice price points. With all the trimmers on Amazon and seemingly most having mixed reviews and some pro versions and expensive-ish, I’ve held off on replacing my Andis Master that I’ve been using for 10 yrs + to shave my head and do beard maintenance ect. The Andis is a TANK - zero issues during heavy regular use over the years- For Christmas , I got an Amazon gift card so I figured , now’s the time to buy a “free” trimmer to replace the my Andis Clipper. Didn’t know anything about TPOB , didn’t care much for the slime color either way , just wanted to purchase something that could get close head shave , manage the beard and do cheek & neck close cuts during the week . Got a deal for $70 on the this TPOB X bought it and hoped for the best , cause you just don’t know until it’s in hand , and you’re actually working with it day in and day out . All of that said, this trimmer f’ing rocks. Super close cut , sharp blades , light and maneuverable . Has a perfect weight , metal body feels substantial ( like you didn’t a buy a kids toy trimmer ) and is PRO level in every way. I have been watching a lot of videos on how to cut my own hair. I was having a hard time getting from razor to no guard with clippers. I though I was just bad, but when I got this I realized i just didn't have the right tools. This is a smooth trimmer and it helps me fade from foil razor, to trimmer to no guard without a line. I cut my own hair so its a bit of a different game than a pro, but for at home it works amazing. I highly recommend it. ... show more

Took me a while to adjust to these. They are heavier and a bit slippery but they cut through hair like butter. I use regular Wahl guards on though and they rattle a lot which is annoying. I wanted to use the ones that came with it cause the color is so cute but that 1 guard especially is too thick and chunky. These things are so sharp for real and I've been using them to knock out long hair one lengths on ladies as well. I love them and want another pair. I do like 60+ haircuts a week with these. ... show more

I've used many different trimmers in my past, I was told by many that this brand is going to take over the industry. I will never buy anything else. The work great, and come with alot of accessories. I've used them a bunch now and will never use anything else. The cost is much less than some of the major brands and work as good if not better then most. Out of the box perfect for trimming beards. TPOB says they come zero gapped but if you want them to hit hard for line ups you must manually zero gap them which takes less than a minute to do. Once zero gapped there is no other better trimmer. I own andis gtx and outliners, babyliss gold fx, wahl detailers and slim line pros. These are far better nothing comes close to these. ... show more

It’s exactly the same as the Babyliss Fx blade but with the Babyliss blade you have to set it then try it out and reset it over and over again until u get to that sweet spot for it to hit. And Babyliss can be hit or miss as far as sharp lines .With the TPOB X Trimmer it hit right out the box but not to barber standard. So I adjusted it once got it close to 0 gapped and it’s frikken hittin! Got that satisfying crunch , ash line and all. Only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because the brushless motors are a little to quiet and still for me. I like to feel the machine working in my hand , I need that vibration but it’s not a deal breaker. I can get used to this type of motor though . It’s decently priced too. Ive spent over $1500 dollars on Babyliss trimmers and trimmer blades and have grown to be disappointed in them in the long run. So far so great with these TPOBz. I almost wanna buy the TPOB Pyscho Blades by its self and pop them on my Babyliss Trimmer to see if I’d get better results. ... show more
