I bought a 2-pack of these 6 months ago. I have a fairly long 2-story house where the rooms that need good wifi are on different levels at opposite ends, with signal blocking plumbing and cooking stuff right in the middle. Moving my ISP-supplied fiber modem/router might not have worked, and there was no convenient location for it anyway. I tried a couple of variations on extenders but they were intrusive and unsatisfactory. I partially solved my problem by purchasing a pair of ethernet to coax adapters for my unused cable TV wiring so I could use wired connections in my living room as well as my office. Wiring the extender made it more reliable but still annoying. My ISP would have happily rented me a mesh router that would pair with the modem/router, but it would have been $120 a year. I decided to try these. I put the ISP router into IP Passthrough mode, disabled its wifi, downloaded the Deco app to my phone, and connected one of the Decos in router mode. It worked immediately. I set up the second Deco, plugged the first into my master switch, then took the second to the living room and plugged it into the switch there. Both have been working fine since. Note: Some devices don't like Fast Roaming. I had to turn that off. I've heard that some devices don't like Beamforming, either, but I've had no problems with it on. I also turned off UPnP for security reasons. Overall, if WiFi 6 is sufficient for your needs, these are a good buy and easy to manage. I haven't tried using these with wireless backhaul, though, so your mileage may vary if you can't write them together like i did. ... show more

These work super well! In my large house there are a lot of dead spots especially with trying to game. I replaced my router with the main unit so that one is connected directly to my modem. We have our second one upstairs and we have our gaming pc connected via Ethernet to that one. No more lagging or high ping when trying to game. We just bought a 3rd one to connect to the mesh system so I can set up another pc for gaming to it. Much more secure and stable with no more dropping out. They have never caused me issues! The app is super nice to adjust preferences, move devices to preferred deco, updates, and troubleshooting. Great deal! So glad we invested in this system. my 10 year old Google Nest worked better as far as dropouts. Range is nearly identical too. Only thing old wifi mesh lacked was raw ethernet top speed from modem. this drops connected cameras constantly and has been fidgety with Spectrum when the cable is solid. disappointed.

I love this set up!! I have never set up a new router in less time. I had a complicated system of a main router and two remote access points, one hardwired and one using power adapters. There were two switches as well to expand my access via Ethernet. These replaced all that. It works seamlessly and the set up was the definition of simplicity. I converted everything in my home to wireless and did away with yards of cables. I can’t say enough good things about these. I have never tried another mesh system to compare this to, but I am just thrilled with my experience. I believe my throughput is better too. Great product ... show more
