  • Can't actually use advertised features.
Good if you dont use any of the features. SMB server worked fine. Wifi speeds and latency were great. The moment i tried to use Wireguard the device started to reboot cycle. 5Ghz down permanently. 2.4Ghz would work for a minute before it cycled again. Each time i managed to get back to the routers config page the uptime was 3 minutes, so i know it had restarted on its own. Dont advertise features that the device is to underspeced to utilize. Fine as a basic access point but at that point, your modem is probably equally as useful. ... show more

  • Wifi dropped connections
Purchased November 13, 2024 This is easy to setup. Great speed, if you can connect to its wifi. Our phones' wifi connections kept getting dropped for no reason, if and when we can get it to connect. It's November 27, 2025 and I'm on the market and just bought another wifi router. You can be sure it's not TP-LINK or anything Made in China. Jan 18 2026 - Too annoyed with dropped wifi; switched to Netgear. Wasted $120.00 for 14 months use, last 3 months annoyed and ignored constant wifi drop. Never again buying TP-Link ... show more

  • Wifi 7 does not work with older laptops
If your lap top is not the newest, it will not work because this is wifi7 and is not back compatible. Wasted hours with install and tech support. Archer A10 2600 modem is great, but they naturally discontinued it. It is wifi 5. Best bet is to buy the older A6 or C80. Both work well with older and new computers since they are wifi 5. They are also 1/3 the price. ... show more

  • Constantly disconnecting
Bought this to improve WIFI in my home. It was easy to set up. The tether app. Was easy to download and use. The main issue with this router was it required to be reset every day. Sometimes twice a day to work properly. This is totally unacceptable for this type of tech. Having to unplug and reset this in the middle of a game! Poor quality control. I returned and purchased another modle. Will see how the new one does. ... show more

  • Works great when it does work
Great when it works!....which is 2 out of 3 days. Im havingto fully reset the router every other day at this point and ive had it for all of two weeks. Ive tried messing with the settings, ive tried bone stock. It keeps failing to maintain a connection even though the modem is out putting. It says frequently returned and thats for good reason. To make it that much worse of an experience, you have to set it up via their app (yaaaaaay) which is slow as dial up. Spend the extra $30 and get something else ... show more

  • Bricked for 5G after Six Months
Easy setup and insane speeds, but THE 5G BAND DIED AFTER SIX MONTHS. Tech support in chat put me through the paces, provided a ticket number, then chat died and I lost the case number before I saved it. The email they said was coming to document the case never came. They offered a return, but no way to let me keep the thing to use it on 2.4G until the replacement arrived. I am here on Amazon right now to buy probably an ASUS or Netgear. ... show more

  • All is good, but lacks one small feature
Update 2: The replacement has arrived. I reported the issue on October 27th, and the working replacement arrived December 10th. So if you are comfortable not having Wifi in your home for 6 weeks, this one may be a good option for you. Update1: It lasted about 3 months. It now randomly drops every Wifi connected device multiple times a day. I have one wired device that still works, even though no lights on the router are on. I called for support and they were helpful. But after the call I got an email saying I need to wait 2 days for a follow up response. All our TVs, home phone, home automation, laptops and printers are no longer working. Having to wait two days, just for a follow up, is not good from my perspective. I now regret not sticking with Linksys. End of Update. My Linksys 1200 finally gave up so I went with this. I've seen a lot of positive feedback and is saying they were right. On the install I assigned IPs to all my MAC addresses thinking it would make life easier if any devices ever have issues. One feature that Linksys has that I wish this one had, was to list any devices that are not connected. The options I have are Wired, 2.4 G, and 5G. Linksys also had a filter, a device with a slash through it, to see unconnected devices. That can be helpful if something goes wrong. Just wish TP Link had this. ... show more

  • 2 months old and now unreliable.
2 months old and now unreliable. I bought this as an upgrade to an old TP-Link router. As soon as I got past the 30 day return limit on Amazon, it started dropping the Wi-Fi connection. The factory warranty seems unavailable/inaccessible. Save yourself the trouble - avoid this product!
