I've had really good experiences with TP-Link routers so I didn't hesitate to order this when I needed another one. The router sets up easily and as with all TP-Link gear the instructions were simple and easy to understand. I was replacing a router from another manufacturer and everything went just like I hoped it would. The router boots up fast and the connection it provides is very stable with good range. I use it on a wireless mixer system for a fairly good size sound system. The router operates in a crowded frequency space when it's in use and I've had no drop outs or any other problems from all the interfering frequencies that are in the room. Security is also not a problem and it's easy enough to set the router password so avoid those problems. In your home this router is going to do great. It won't be near as challenging of an environment as I use it in and I'm sure you'll be happy with the results. ... show more

This device makes gaming and watching videos a lot easier and clear on all devices connected to it. The devices I have connected are an Xbox one, Roku tv, and Xbox one. My parents router was too old and had no range at all. It took 5 minutes to replace it with this router, and my parents, who have no tech knowledge at all, can tell the difference in range and speed. For the price it is a very solid router.

My cable company recently sent out a new router (dual band) and required the old one to be returned and once I installed it none of my Ring cameras would work, apparantly the router was attempting to communicatewith them on the wrong band (which it is suppose to automatically handle). After some basic attempts to resolve I purchased this as a simple solution. I connected this new router into my other cable providers router and set it to the proper mode (3modes available) per the super simple included instructions.
