I wish I could show the video. My 3 year old took to this violin right away. When I showed her how to press the buttons for music, (I explained we have to ‘tune’ it first, and we press the volume button and music button and listen for right sound), then she plays by running the bow back and forth while she sings and dances and twirls all around, making up her own words. (She still doesn't hold the violin correctly, but that doesn’t matter. I’ll show her videos of other violinists and eventually she’ll imitate what she sees.) She has played it over and over for weeks and has not grown tired of it. It’s very nicely made-and strong, for she plops it down and plays with it all the time, and it’s still going strong. It’s realistic looking and music selections are varied and delightful violin sounds. Of course, she can’t exactly figure out the mode that allows your own sounds, but she uses both. One of the best presents I’ve ever bought! I can’t say enough good things. It was so much fun to see her enjoy this the way she did. This is a well-made toy at a very reasonable price that does what it said it would do!

Little one loves cellos and violins, but hates not being able to fully control the sound, hates the volume of the sounds, and complains when anyone turns the toy on. Plays with this toy every day, all day long. Cries for it at mealtimes and bedtimes. Celebrates holding it, and shows it to everyone every 2 minutes (I am not exaggerating, it is literally in constant use and is a constant joy to baby). As of this week, baby likes to teach grownups how to play it, and derives immense joy from watching them play the silent instrument. Dancing ensues. Repeated handing back and forth. Watching YoYo Ma videos on repeat, with admiration and joy. Really, joy is the only word that needs to apply to the experience of this toy. Assuming of course that the batteries are removed and the battery case gets a strip of clear packing tape to hold it closed, because dropping the toy breaks/strips the plastic that the screw goes into, so the cover can't stay on without tape. If this toy gets broken, we will buy another one, and will probably glue the battery case closed rather than bother with the loose screw

My daughter is 5 years old. I am trying to expose her to different music instruments. I would play violin playing on youtube and let my daughter imitate violin playing. She loves it so far. This violin is light enough for a 5 year old to hold But strong enough for it to not break whenever it's dropped.

My last detailed, candid review of this product was not approved. Therefore, I will write a more simple, flowery review. This product in no way met my personal standard for this product. I purchased a new violin. I received one that did not, in my own personal opinion did not appear to be new. This is evidenced by a product that arrived in an undamaged box, yet, was riddled with scratches, scuff marks, and what appeared to be dirt and possibly milk spots. I returned the product for a replacement with no issues. Unfortunately, the replacement looked no better. I ended up requesting a return for refund. All in all, I found this to be very time consuming and disappointing.

Our daughter LOVES all things music. We got this for her for Christmas last year when she was 3.5 yrs old. She has used it regularly and sadly it just randomly stopped working, not even a year from when it was purchased. Would love if we could get a replacement and would up the review to 5 stars if so.
