A very cute toy, my daughters loved it. A word of caution though, it makes a MESS! Definitely have your kids do it outdoors on a driveway or somewhere easy to hose off.

I got this for my 4 yr old granddaughter to add to the other eggs she received on Easter from the Easter Bunny. This was a huge hit, she loved it. I thought the egg was made of a dry substance but it appears to be clay and after it is soaked it is a bit gooey and makes quite a mess when the kids start pounding on it so take it to an area that can be easily cleaned because it will splatter. I can see this being fun for young kids as well as older kids. It took my granddaughter awhile to get to all the dinosaurs using the little wooden hammer that came with it which made the fun last longer so resist the urge to use a regular hammer. She really enjoyed it and I recommend it for kids of all ages.

Pros: The most important thing is that my 5 y/o enjoyed it and loved finding all the dinosaurs. She had a blast. Cons: -Extremely messy. I let my kid use whatever in the house, but if you don’t want to clean up a mess don’t get this. The mud/clay was spraying everywhere when she hit it with the tools. Everyone had it in their hair lol. - I don’t think she’d play with the little dinosaurs again, so it’s mostly single use I think. - My kid didn’t notice this or care, but all the 12 dinosaurs settled to one part of the egg so about 1/2 of the egg was left untouched (not demolished). Overall: My kid really enjoyed it and that’s the important part, but also shared my adult thoughts too.
