If your child believes the word “gross” actually means “best day ever,” congratulations — you’ve found just the thing! This kit was an immediate hit. Boiling boogers? Glowing worms? Test tube vomit? My daughter was absolutely delighted. I, meanwhile, questioned some life choices… but in a supportive STEM-parent kind of way. What I didn’t expect was how much real science is packed in here. While she was loving the slime and fake bodily fluids, she was also learning about polymers, chemical reactions, and pH. It’s basically a sneaky education operation disguised as chaos. The instructions are clear enough that kids can mostly handle it themselves, which is huge. I supervised, but I wasn’t required to earn a chemistry degree first. Important note: it is messy. This is not a “light a candle and sip tea” activity. This is a “cover the table, roll up sleeves, embrace the yuck” activity. Dress accordingly. Bonus: there are extra experiments using household items, so it doesn’t get tossed aside after one weekend. Final verdict: 10/10 for gross-out joy, strong STEM value, and giving kids the kind of hands-on science experience they’ll actually remember. ... show more
