- APPEARANCE: The Sideline electric fireplace is designed for recessed in-wall mounting. Creating a cozy atmosphere of a traditional fireplace, this electronic fireplace has realistic flames with a real fire look. The Sidelines 5 flame settings radiate a soft ember glow up to an intense blaze. Sideline gives you the total package. Control the heat and flame with the remote control. Designed to use one log or crystal, if you prefer you can mix both safely.
- INSTALLATION: This Sideline installs simply and can safely be attached to framing studs. The sides & back of the unit remain cool to the touch with the heat feature on. Recommended minimum of 8 of space between the top of the fireplace and your TV, mantel, picture ceiling. The Sideline can be installed in existing fireplace openings safely. Consult with a licensed professional to ensure your unused gas lines and vents are secured properly. The Sideline fireplace is ventless.
- OPERATION: The Sidelines heater will take the edge off a cool room or basement, and it can be run with no heat (just flames) in warmer climates. The Sideline comes with a 6-foot power cord for a 110-120V outlet. It is also hard-wire ready for in-wall install. The unit draws a max of 12 amps, so the fireplace can be used on a 15-amp circuit. A 20-amp circuit may be necessary, depending on the use of other electronics on that same electric circuit.
- FEATURES: The Sideline features an unmatched flame. Friends will be nervous to touch realistic flame behind the glass. The Sideline includes faux-fire logs & crystals to create an authentic feel, as well as an IR remote controlling flame color & intensity, the heater and shut-off timer. Front facing heater vents allow you to position the Sideline just 8 under a flat screen TV. The Sideline can be hardwired or plugged in to your electric source.
- WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: 1. We recommend 8 inches of space between your fireplace & TV. 2. The Sideline pulls a max of 12 amps. 3. The fireplace includes a wall-mount bracket, if you dont recess it. 4. You can install the Sideline in an existing fireplace opening. It stays cool to the touch on the sides & back and is ventless. You can use the Sideline with just the flame and no heat. 5. The heater will help to warm up a cool room but wont replace a primary heat source.
- ALEXA/WIFI ENABLED: Control the Sideline 50 Electric Fireplace from your lounge chair using the included remote control, Alexa or Google Home device or Smart mobile app. Connect it to compatible smart home devices through the app for added convenience. This electric fireplace has been a great addition to our space. The flame effect looks very realistic and adds a lot of warmth and ambiance without the mess or maintenance of a traditional fireplace. We mainly use it in the evenings, and it instantly makes the room feel cozy and inviting. I also appreciate how easy it is to use — simple controls and no hassle. It puts off enough heat to take the chill off while still looking great even when the heat isn’t on. Overall, it’s a really nice combination of function and style, and I’m very happy with it.

The media could not be loaded. Love love love!!! Super easy to install, warms up the room nicely and makes the room look so good. I like that’s its slim so when we had the built-in built it didn’t have to stick out too far. When we have the heater on we can barely hear any sound coming off of it. There are various color options and super functional. We love that it has a remote control and for the amount that we paid it’s been totally worth it. You definitely get a bang for your buck. It also made the holidays so much more special.

Great for what it is! We were hoping to install a gas unit, but at this point in our lives it wasn't financially possible. But we wanted to fill the space in our fireplace surround so we thought about going electric until we saved up for gas. For the low price, this is a great option! We have a large living room with high ceilings so the heat function doesn't really work much - we jokingly call it the hair-dryer! :o) The screen is big and the fire image doesn't fill as much as I thought it would, but it's still pretty cool looking. We like having the options of the logs and the crystals. We do the crystals in the summer and do while light and blue flames and I call it my air-conditioning-fire! :o) Then we do the more realistic flames and logs for the cooler/winter months. The flames are not very realistic, but if you're not expecting realism, it's pretty cool and modern. The installation and hook up were very easy! It takes a minute to learn how to use the remote - it's not very intuitive. But the instructions are helpful and once you know, you know. So it's not a big deal. I'm excited for the heat of a real gas insert someday, but this is a delightful middle step!

The Touchstone Smart Electric FP has been installed for three weeks. The ambiance is great. Changing the view is a little challenging for a senior citizen however the views/flames are very realistic. The unit is installed in an open family room kitchen area and it does take the chill out of the area. The heater fan is a little louder than I expected but it is a fan running! Overall I am satisfied. It is a 'pretty' upgraded look to a 35 year old fireplace space.

This unit is great. I installed in on a wall in my cabin as a surface mount, just to see how it would heat and how it looked. It is really nice. Better than expected and get production is excellent. Now that I like it I will build a false wall to recess it and provide a mantel. Plenty of room to put under a window. Unit is approx 21" high so measure and make allowances as instructed. Hanging it was super easy - Find the studs, install the bracket with the screws provided, and hang the unit. It went onto the bracket very easily, great design. We used the crystals and really like them. The 'logs' look too fake and really not needed when it is obviously a decorative heat unit. Wireless functionality is simple to set up. This unit has some of the best instructions I have ever seen.

Have used for a year with no issues. Looks great from the front, not as realistic of a flame from an angle, but that is expected. I like the heating to just raise the temperature of the sitting area a couple of degrees.
