First of all, the quality is excellent. The rubber is hard and durable. The handle has a nice chrome finish with knurling that is deep but doesn’t cut into your skin. The hexagon shaped weights prevent rolling with easy to read raised lettering for weight indication. The only negative is the smell is that of tire rubber and it’s very strong but not enough to subtract a star. The price is the best on Amazon. Highly recommended. ... show more

I ordered the 10 lbs rubber encased hex dumbbell set (two, ten pound weights). I was skeptical to order weights online as I was previously scammed and shipping times have been longer than expected due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I received the weights in a very timely fashion, I received them the exact date that was estimated at purchase. I have only used the weights a couple times however the quality seems great even with aggressive moves such as a weighted burpee-pushups there were no issues (Note: I will update my review if I come across any quality issues). The only down side is that the rubber has a strong odor, I anticipate this will dissipate with time and will be present with any brand of rubber encase weights, Thus I do not feel like it warrants deducting a star on the rating. We have been looking to add to our home workout equipment since we are exercising much more in the home recently. It has been hard to find hand weights, so I was excited to find these on Amazon. The geometric shape allows them to stack on top of one another which I like as they are stored in a cabinet. The metal grip is a bit rough, but if I grip them tightly and don't allow them to move around in my hand it does not pose a problem. The weights arrived quickly and packaged well. My one criticism, though I did not find it worthy of knocking a star off, is that the rubber has a strong odor. It has been about a month and the odor has remained, though it is lightening up. First off, this is a set of dumbbells. Other dealers, are selling one (who only needs 1 dumbbell?) for the price this company is selling 2! After receiving them from the grimacing mailman, while unpacking, I noticed the dumbbells are sturdy and look well made. To make sure I wasn't scammed, I verified the weight by using my bathroom scale. It's accurate. What is also accurate is that I've managed to gain the "Quarantine 15." These dumbbells can’t be beat for the quality and price!! They arrived exactly on time, and in pairs. Check the description because the higher weights say 1 item, my 10 lbs said in a set and that’s what I received. They did smell like rubber but I wiped them with rubbing alcohol and that helped. Great value for what I received. Only hope that the 50 pd set comes back in stock soon so I can complete my set. I was also pleasently surprised by the packaging, which was secure and not damaged. I was half expecting it to come partially destroyed because of the weight purchased.
