Description

TotalBoat AlumiPaint AF is a copper-free ablative bottom paint that provides excellent fouling protection for pontoon boats and the aluminum hulls of fishing and hunting boats, and jon boats alike. Instead of copper, AlumiPaint AF's formula features an organic biocide paired with zinc to fight barnacles, slime, weeds, algae, zebra mussels, and other growth in moderate fouling conditions. The ablative formula wears away gradually to expose fresh biocide. Less paint buildup makes prep and painting easier next season. AlumiPaint AF is also safe for use on aluminum hulls, outdrives, trim tabs, and props without risking galvanic corrosion. To apply AlumiPaint AF, use chip brushes, 3/16" nap rollers, or spray equipment on properly prepared surfaces, including over most existing hard and ablative paint that's in good condition. Prime bare surfaces with TotalBoat Aluminum Boat Barrier Coat. Apply in 50–90°F temperatures with <90% humidity. You only need 1-2 coats of AlumiPaint AF boat bottom paint to finish the job. Thin up to 10% with Brushing Thinner 100 (brush/roller) or Spray Thinner 101 (sprayer) as needed. After applying the last coat, wait 2-8 hours, depending on temperature conditions. There's no maximum dry time before launch, so you can prep and paint on your schedule. Haul and relaunch without having to paint again: AlumiPaint AF's biocide remains active without losing its effectiveness. Choose from Black and Blue gallon sizes.. Expect typical coverage of 500 square feet per gallon. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, protect from freezing. Please note that this marine paint is intended for antifouling applications on boats, below the waterline only. It is not intended for household or marine topside use.
