  • Shipped fast and no damage
Style: WiFi - 24,000 BTU 230V (R 32)
We purchased our 2400 BTU in late Nov. Order came fast with little dings and some torn cardboard on outside of well-wrapped boxes inside. We inspected and there was no damage to inside boxes at all. We did not plan on putting in until after Christmas but my husband was anxious and son-in-law was ready to help. I had originally called around to have it installed....the price blew me away. 1500 to 3000. Then found someone for 800 but he did not do any electrical. So husband said nope he would do it. I need to tell you my husband is 75 and can barely walk. He is a 100 percent disabled vet. So he started by crawling under the house and running the 220 wiring. He got all that done and a junction box put in and hooked up. He then framed a cement pad and went and got cement and made a nice size pad for the condenser to sit level on. I bought the rubber feet for it to be anchored to and sit on which he did all himself. Son in law came two days after Christmas to help. Husband had it all done but hanging the inside unit itself. Ohhh they did have to drill hole in wall. The hole drilling took longer than any of it...lol . Together ohhh and I guided the lines...lol It was all hung and ready to hook lines up in 4 hours. I did buy https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LBLDZ89?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title to help put this in and husband used it with no problem. It was ready to turn on the next day. So we put the batteries in the remote and were ready to watch it do its thing......then boom it didn't work....ohhhhhh no.... So I called the tech number with no answer as they were on holiday or I called after hours. So I wrote them. I got a call back the next day which I missed and an email back. They requested pictures of the wiring my husband did. I sent this to them, and they called back again after receiving the email with images from us. The gal I talked to was looking at the pictures of the email I sent back and said you have the inside wired right but the outside is wrong. My husband corrected this and boom she started right up with the remote and then I hooked it to my wifi with no problem, so now we have it set up that way also. She works beautifully and is so quiet. I can't thank their customer service enough and did voice our concern with the instructions on the wiring. They said they are looking into that. They solved our problem with one phone call and email. The email they sent back clearly showed the correct wiring. Customer service was spot on for us. We are extremely happy with our choice in purchasing of this product. ... show more

  • Happy so far
Style: WiFi - 18,000 BTU 230V (R 32)
So far so good. I bought this last year just as the heat was winding down and never had it installed. We just installed it today in a very hot mobile home and it is one of the closest units I've ever been around. I aimed this one down the hallway from the hottest room in the house and it has been effective as cooling the whole house. ... show more

  • Amazon refused to send the outdoor unit part of the order that i paid for
Style: WiFi - 12,000 BTU 230V (R 32)
Only the indoor unit was delivered. I didn't realize it came in two separate boxes, as it doesn't state that anywhere in the description. I do not know anything about minisplit units, so I assumed it was fully delivered when a box arrived, and I decided it was best to leave it in the box until the construction was finished in the room where it was going. I was trying to get out ahead of the tariffs, so I wasn't ready to install it. When I did open the box and discovered only the indoor unit and no outdoor unit, I immediately called TOSOT, UPS, and Amazon in an effort to resolve the situation. UPS wouldn't even deal with it, and TOSOT and Amazon sent me back and forth between them trying to push the problem on the other. TOSOT and Amazon both ended up NOT doing anything to help. TOSOT maintains that it is an Amazon problem, as to where Amazon basically told me that they know it was not delivered, but since I was several days outside the return window they were not obligated to help and were not going to. So basically I have a TOSOT indoor unit for sale. ... show more

  • So far so good.
Style: WiFi - 18,000 BTU 230V (R 32)
I installed this in a 42' destination travel trailer. The two ceiling AC units were fine, but they were very loud so I was looking for something more efficient, quieter, and something with a heat pump in hopes of reducing the use of the propane furnace during the winter. So being it is an RV, installation is pretty much the same. I was lucky enough to run the lineset down an interior wall so I didn't have to drill directly into the exterior wall. I used 25' of lineset so the original 16' wasn't used. The manufacturer was extremely quick to reply to my question regarding how much refrigerant to add to the added lineset length - which is .215oz per foot after doing the metric conversion. The condenser unit came a little dented on the face which looks like the compressor may have bumped the exterior during shipping. It would honestly be more trouble than it's worth trying resolve aesthetic damage through Amazon or the manufacturer. I would have pursued it if there was mechanical damage. You will need a 5/16" adapter to hook up traditional 1/4" gauges/hoses. And of course a good vacuum. I believe I was down to about 220 microns before I called it and that was after two flushes with nitrogen. Unit purrrrs. The condensor is extremely quiet. I do get a little hum or resonance from the inside and it could be because I have it mounted on the paper thin back wall of the RV, or maybe it's slightly out of balance from shipping and denting the side. The wire cage of the condensing unit shakes just a bit when it's running. I don't want to pursue this because I am not 100% sure the shipping damage causes the slight vibration/noise. The indoor evap unit runs so quiet... we love it. We can talk normally and watch TV at ease. The comfort is much, much better. Even with a slight hum from the condenser, it's so much better than the Coleman Mach rooftop AC units that are super loud and blows too hard. The cycling on and off would drive me crazy. This minisplit just purrs - and we love it! I can't comment how the heat works because it's still summer. But I am hoping it will do ok with our mild south-eastern winters. My only complaint or beef is the wiring diagram for the indoor evap unit. It is wrong on page 24 of the manual, as others have pointed out... but nobody stated how to correct it! Should I? Of course! Let me save you a little bit of pain... MIRROR THE WIRING ON THE INSIDE UNIT TO THE OUTDOOR CONDENSER. The diagram for the condenser is correct. Wire the indoor unit the same. So look at the wiring diagram for the outdoor condenser for both. L1 - S - L2 is correct for both. Page 24 says L1 - L2 - S and this is WRONG. I got this unit on Amazon Prime day with 20% off, making it a decent deal for an 18k unit. I am a licensed/EPA certification HVAC guy who's been out of the field for a few years but I still have the know how and tools. Install can be done by anyone with a basic understanding of electrical and refrigeration. DO YOUR VACUUM. I cant stress that enough! And ALWAYS use nitrogen when brazing - but you'll probably using flared connections. Good luck! ... show more
