my wife and I were traveling for our 25th anniversary to Bali and Phuket and the temperatures were in the low 80s to the high 80s. I purchased two of these units and I also purchased a third unit which does not have gold air, it’s just a fan. This is my actual experience. The bottom line is that using this device is not the same as the kind of air conditioning that you get in a hotel room. That’s a different level. What device absolutely is that it makes you feel better when the temperatures are high. Bali, the humidity was 83% and the temperatures during the day were around 83°, and I felt like it was 75°. Whenever I would take the unit off, I would immediately want to put it back on. I found that it actually made sense to use it at the lowest level because it was whisper quiet . also, if you keep it at the lowest level, I was able to get between four and five hours of cooling. At the highest level, I didn’t feel any cooler, but it felt like there was a lot of wind blowing on my face. I think most people will actually end up using it at the lowest level so that they can get the longest battery life. these use USB c They charge fairly quick, somewhere between 75 and 90 minutes. They also charge well from battery packs. I did use the cheaper $30 device that does not have cooling and immediately went back to these. Bottom line – anytime you are going into an area with high humidity and high temperatures, these will make you more comfortable. One final thought. They do not work in direct sunlight if the sun is in the 80s or 90s. You will feel just as hot and miserable. But the moment you’re out of sun, these will Make you feel better. It’s all about expectations.

Ok, so first off, let me be clear and tell folks that if you buy this product thinking you’ll be as cool and comfortable while out in the hot sun as you would be in your own home with your home air conditioner set to 68 degrees, you’re in for disappointment. That being said, if you buy this and know that what you’re getting is a high powered fan that you wear around your neck with a cooling plate that sits right at the back of your neck and you understand that this will help cool you down somewhat then you’re going to appreciate and like this product. I have one and its great, serves the purpose I need it for which is to offer some relief while very hot and the best part is the unit itself stretches and remains stretched so if you have a big neck like me then you wont feel like your wearing a noose. Overall great product. I’d recommend you give it a try if you’re looking for something to help cool you down while you’re hot, just keep your expectations in check.

I ordered one last week and the cooling plate did not work and it was very loud and it looked like it had smudges on it and I’m pretty sure it was used. I returned it and just bought a new one and this one the cooling plate also does not work, has a loud winding noise and it has little indentations all over where the creases are where you can tell it had been pried open. I’m pretty sure they’re both Just returns. No seals on the box. No plastic anywhere the cords look like they were put back in. Also, the three little lights that should go on to let you know if it’s low medium or high they all just stay on the whole time and don’t change. So now I need to return this one also. My cousin has one an absolutely loved her and I was so excited. I am very disappointed.

I work in a humid, hot, warehouse in Georgia. This fan DEFINITELY helps but it is very expensive compared to the other options out there. I ended up returning this and purchasing a cheaper unit with metal cooling pads and they feel much colder than this units silicone pad. The fans are quiet, it is built very well. It fits great. It is just very expensive and I can't quite see how they justify the price. If you want one, they are very helpful. Even in the humidity. I will say, I paired it with a wet, cooling cloth under it and it made the breeze it creates much MUCH nicer. UPDATE: the cheaper option has quite a few drawbacks. The Torras model is much more comfortable, the silicone cover over the cooling pad is there for a reason, the bare metal from the cheaper version has left cold burns on my skin. It is much more ergonomic and easier to wear over long periods. Hopefully the price will come down over time as this would be very much preferred. It's simply out of budget

The cooling effect is minimal. Save your $ and buy a belt fan. For the price of this thing, buy 5+ belt fans. The belt fans work much better in cooling you off. Much better! But, this unit is well built. I'll continue trying it out. Maybe the heating ability will change my rating. I'll let you know come Winter.

Pro - Adjustable Neck Band Pro - Pretty lightweight for what it is. Pro - Pretty quiet Pro - Peltier Plate on the neck Con - Battery life is about 2.5 to 3 hours - but that's three hours that you aren't miserably hot... To be seen - How it reacts to long term outdoor use, (sweat/dust/pollen). I received this neck fan on a Saturday. High was 85', and humidity was 78%. Not a super breeze to be found. As I had a lot of outside things to do, I figured this would be a good field test. Now I'm a person who gets hot very easily, and can overheat quickly, so I was really interested in how this Coolify worked. I was pretty impressed with what it does. The adjustable neckband is a plus, so you can adjust this thing to where it doesn't feel like it's strangling you. The cold plate on the back of your neck does help greatly. You're still going to sweat, but nowhere near as badly as you would without it. It seems like the fans circulate through the neckband, and pick up some of the cool off of the neck plate, so you aren't just getting completely moving hot air. I see myself using this an awful lot. :) The only real concern I have, is that I sweat an awful lot. You can clean this thing with a damp cloth externally. I'm just wondering how it'll operate with dust and pollen. I haven't tried the heating ability, and probably won't, but the cooling is very welcome. :)
