Actually, I was surprised of the quality of the lights and the stands. Everything went together well and I had them set up within a few minutes. The lights are adjustable to cold, warm, and 'hot' temperatures, and can vary in brightness to almost any level you want. I let the camera worry about the light temp, and use AWB almost exclusively. Don't expect this equipment to hold those monolights you've always wanted - and they certainly won't light up a larger studio setup - but it does a great job for my use as lighting a variety of subjects that can vary in size from an inch to perhaps three or four. I bought this set for self-tape video auditions in January and now in November it is still going strong after several self-tape auditions each week. I found it pretty easy to set up and the pieces are light and easy to rearrange. The remotes help me to adjust each light as I am looking into the camera. The only thing I don't like is that each time I turn them off it resets to the default setting, but even with that it is just a few clicks of each button to get them where I want them. I like the 3 modes plus dimming and brightness to get the lights exactly right no matter the time of day. They can go super bright too! My dogs have knocked them over a few times and they have held up! Great price too! ... show more

4 stars because there was some inconvenience. When I plugged in the lights to test them, I noticed that one bulb didn't work. No matter which light source I put it on, still nothing. Torjim's customer service didn't reply to me but Amazon was great and got me a replacement fast. Now they work perfectly. There's plenty of choices for color tone, from warm to cold to neutral. They go a lot taller than I thought so they can make a great key light, fill AND hair light. ... show more

Nice lighting set for the price. It does not get as bright as I would like however with a little work from another light - -this get s the job done. I like that the stand is sturdy and the size covers what I need nicely. FYI i am a clothing reseller and use this for clothing photography.
