I purchased the solar charger to charge battery for remote weather station. The unit is well built and easy to install. It has been operating successfully for two weeks exposed to tropical storm and New England Atlantic coast weather. One major issue the instructions for operating the Charger Controller were printed in German. I'm an English speaker an expected English instructions. I've extensively searched the web and can't find instructions. I've emailed the address listed for support several times. I have not received a response of any kind. If I ever need to adjust the Charger Controller it will be purely a guessing game. Very disappointed. ... show more

I have three of the solar panels. Two of them are on 14k GVW dump trailers. They are used to keep the battery that runs the hydraulic lift charged. The other is on an 18k roll-off trailer. This one charges a small battery that powers the auto tarper. I've had the solar panels on the dump trailers for 8 months now. I dump the trailers about 5 times per week each. Most of the time I'm dumping 3-5 tons. I haven't had to hook up a cord to charge any of the batteries since I installed the panels. The battery meter on the trailers always shows them topped off. The solar system was super easy to install. I used the strongest 3m two sides tape I could find to secure the panel to the trailer tool boxes. They haven't budged. The system comes with several ways to hook to the battery, but I've only used the ring terminals. Plug the panel into the controller, hook the battery to the controller, and it comes on. I didn't have to play with the settings because it was already set up for 12v batteries. It just started charging. I highly recommend these panels to anyone that wants to keep trailer batteries topped off. ... show more

I've had this for 3 months and I use it to keep a deep cycle battery charged for when I'm out flying my drone. The panel kit lives in my car or on my deck and has no trouble trickle charging the battery for when I need it. It seems durable; I move it back and forth quite a bit and it's still like new. It definitely doesn't have the power to run a LiPo charger but that's what the battery is for. Very happy with my purchase so far. ... show more

The actual solar panel was easy to set up and use, although, the wire from the solar panel you connect to the controller could be a bit longer. That, however, could be just a personal issue for the project I used it for. The charge controller works nicely, but I have no idea how to use it or what its functions are. The manual it came with for the charge controller is completely in German, and trying to google translate everything just doesn’t work. The box for the controller and the solar panel manual itself are both in English. Needless to say, just kind of confused why the operation manual for the charge controller is only in German. Good for the low price but you get what you pay for. Look the kit is great, and it totally works well. But for this price you miss things like quick disconnects, a longer cable, a mounting bracket or ground bracket. You get exactly what you paid for. Mine is working very well

This is great solar charger for my needs. It's hooked up to my riding lawn mower, keeps the battery fully charged, mower starts right up. I mow about every 2 weeks and the batter was always a bit under charged after sitting. I would have to put a charger to it for about 20-30 minutes but now it's ready when I am. Recently I decided to install solar for a led light strip at my mother in law her house as she deals frequently with power outages. I hooked it up to a VRLA 12v20Ah battery deep cycle. Surprisingly it charges very fast. The only bit concerning is the high float voltage of 14.4 volts… Usually these batteries when used in UPS systems maintain a floating voltage of 13.7 I ordered 2 sets more. ... show more
