The wider option creates more covered space around your vehicle for chairs, gear, cooking, and shared camp activities. Please note that the 98" version is not compatible with rooftop tent side-rail mounting. What do “Driver Side” and “Passenger Side” mean? Does steering position matter? Driver Side refers to the left side of the vehicle, while Passenger Side refers to the right side. Choose the version based on where you want the awning installed. Can the 270° Awning be mounted directly to a rooftop tent? The 83" awning can be mounted to compatible rooftop tent side rails with the proper bracket. The 98" version requires a roof rack or roof bars instead. Can I add walls and a floor mat later? Yes. Compatible walls and floor mats are available for both 83" and 98" versions, so you can expand your setup later. Do I need to buy mounting brackets separately? No for roof rack or roof bar mounting—the awning already includes standard mounting hardware. A dedicated awning bracket is only needed for compatible rooftop tent side-rail mounting. How much clearance is needed when mounting to rooftop tent side rails?
