My son has spina bifida and therefore has balanced deficiencies, though he has good core strength which is probably required for this. It feels wobbly when you're on it but I think that's to help you corner better and you get used to it. He has tipped a few times but only got scraped knees. Definitely wear a helmet on this. This is the most amazing thing I could have ever hoped for for his independence and mobility. He goes all over town with me, drives on the beach boardwalk, everywhere. Spare battery is a must for long distances.

Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT buy this product. I had to hire someone to put it together, then the first time out, it collapsed. I fell on my back and the back of my head. My friends called an ambulance and I went to the ER. Thankfully, I wasn't seriously injured but enough that a week later I'm still having headaches and a very sore neck and back. Heating pads, Motrin, and lying down. I called Amazon to return it and am told that I cannot return it because the seller doesn't want it back. I"m within my 30 days but because of the accident Amazon opened an A-Z return for me and the seller refused it so now I can't do anything. Amazon has disappointed me hugely. I didn't purchase this from the seller, I purchased it from Amazon. I have been a Prime member since the beginning and have spent tens of thousands of dollars on Amazon. Now they have this seemingly unscrupulous seller with a product that can result in great bodily harm and neither the seller nor Amazon are willing to help. Also, my doctor at my follow up appointment told me that most people don't make it out of a fall like I had. I was literally slammed on my back.

The media could not be loaded. We are in our mid seventies and my wife of 50 years hasn’t been able to join our morning dog walks with the neighbors. Her multiple surgeries has made it difficult to walk and she has been left out of many activities for several years. I bought the TopMate scooter for her for her birthday in September and it has been the best purchase ever. She “walks” every morning and evening, she rides around the campgrounds and even chases the dog in the house - giggling. We take it with us on trips and sightseeing and is handy to load in the car. My wife is engaged, active and loves her scooter (dont refer to it as a tricycle). Great product.

Does not have enough stability, it works good for inside total flat surfaces, it’s very risky to drive on the streets, sidewalks are uneven and is easy to loose balance and control.

This little gem was exactly what I needed—it’s given me back a sense of independence. With a spinal leak, I can’t walk far or do too much, but this trike allows me to get out in public and participate again. I’ve already used it for many events around town, including festivals and even the Ohio State Fair. It’s lightweight, folds easily to fit in the trunk, and is super simple to transport. It handles roads, grass, and even slight hills surprisingly well—and the battery lasts a long time! I get stopped constantly by people asking where to buy one, and I’m always happy to share—because this trike has truly given me some “life” back. Honestly, I should probably be one of their reps…lol. One extra tip: I chose the model with a backrest (a lifesaver on long days), but it can be a bit tricky to swing your leg over when getting on. Some folks may prefer the version without.

Love, Love, Love mine!!! The convenience it has at the airport is absolutely wonderful!!! I took mine internationally to France and Spain and even on a cruise ship…. And not one problem at all!!! I just had knee surgery not long ago… it’s worth every penny to me!!!
