It did take me a little while to assemble it. It wasn't overly difficult, but getting a few of the items to line up and screw together took a little bit of fiddling. Instructions were straight forward, everything was labeled well, and all of the hardware was there. Once I got it put together our kitten immediately took to it. This thing keeps her occupied for hours (she was kind of driving us nuts at times). We have 3 dogs, so this gives the kitten a place to get away. She loves climbing to the top and sleeping in the little "hammock". She also lives playing with the little hanging balls with bells. The quality of the carpet on this item is nice, and I think the columns with the rope will last many years. I am not sure how big our kitten will get, but I could see her possibly outgrowing this at some point, if so we will just purchase a larger one in the future. ... show more

it wasn’t as easy to assemble as some of the reviews suggest, i ended up ditching the scratching board cuz it was too long and there was just no way to actually attach it. i’ve had it about 6 months now and one of the scratching posts is pretty destroyed so not sure how much longer it’ll last me. other than that, my cat loves this thing. she’s in it 24/7. the hammock and the tall perch are her faves ... show more

    • I REALLY like it, it is not perfect (but I would buy it again), it probably deserves 5 stars.

Negatives: , it took 2 hours to figure out assembly (a friend put it together while I watched). The instructions were not the best. It DOES wobble a bit (I had a wooden based one previously so this may be just my expectation and history with cat trees) but my cats used this one fine anyway, even to the top. Two of the 2 cats weigh 12-13 lbs. PLUS is: there is room for the 3 cats to sit high at the same time. It was NOT so wobbly that they would not use it. It is standing freely next to my kitchen counter cabinet (they sit there rather than trying to get on the counter to see me eye to eye). It is exactly as in the photo. I did NOT install the bowl or basket looking thing, I felt my cats may not use it, and it was make the tree more unstable. Even Without it there are 3 places for my cats to sit all at the same time. It is nice and love all the options my little kitty has, but I do have a big boy and it is not good for him. If you have a very large kitty like main cune this is not a good one for them.

This is a nice cat tower at a good price, so it's well worth buying. Just be aware that they have clearly cut some corners with this, so it's just a little bit cheaper and flimsier and smaller in its features. I have no complaints per se, it works !

Once put together my cats liked it, especially the box enclosures. The putting it together was time consuming and the directions stink. There are just pictures and the holes are not easy to find in the fabric. The screws all came in one package and you had to figure out which was which by sight. Not as easy as to sounds. I have owned this product for two years now. If you have a small cat or kitten, this product is great. The price is lower than a high-end one and easy to assemble. However, over time my cats have severely loosed the screws and broken some platforms. It lasted us two years, and then we bought a sturdy one from Marshals, and boy is it night and day. Granted our cats are 12+ pounds, but they exert quite a force when they run and jump. So, for our first tower and kitten, this was great! ... show more
