I put a before the garage was cleaned and organized and an after pic. Well.....this metal is a bit thin and wobbly so use a second person. It comes with gloves and make sure you use them or your hands will hurt. It is easy to put together. The shelf "wood" is not thick and sturdy wood on its own. It is a type of thin compressed wood. It has some stabilizers you put under the shelf. The shelf wood 2 corners are cut at an angle to help you easily slide it in. NOW! When moving the things, do NOT pick it up!! You do and it comes apart. Slide them to your position. I purchased the 3. They are NOT connected. They do not connect. They are 3 individual racks. The more you know. Now to the reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. It was because of the material of the wood and because they do not move by picking them up. Other than that I love these shelves. ... show more

    • Flimsy at first then appear more sturdy once assembled
Was happy that package came earlier than expected, so I started working on my garage project right away. The shelves at first seem very very flimsy as your putting them together. At one point I felt like there is no way these are even usable. Seems like they would just bend or break very easy. Once assembled however, they feel more sturdy. You will definitely have to secure these to the wall. Also they give you gloves, USE THEM! I didn't at first and cut my hand pretty deep. The edges are very sharp and easy to cut yourself assembling so you really should use the gloves. Its nice they provide them. They should put a warning though on them. My main issue is that as i was finishing up assembling I realized that they only sent me 2 of the shelves when I ordered three. I got rid of old storage and now am stuck with things everywhere and no where to store. I contacted seller and will follow up once they respond. Update 6/25/20 : SO company responded promptly and sent out another unit. However once I received unit and attempted to assemble it I realized it was missing the brackets needed to make the shelf stand. With out them you can not connect the units to make a tall shelf and instead will have two short shelves. This is the second problem I had with this order and it is taking weeks (almost a month) to finish my garage project that should have been finished in three days. I bought this shelving in the 72"H x 36"W x 15"D to store boxes of my ornament collection. I bought a second one because the first one worked out so well for me. Easy assembly; took me about 30 minutes. Read and follow the instructions to make sure the uprights and shelves are inserted properly. No tools needed except you will want to have a rubber mallet on hand to seat the parts; gloves are provided in the package. Be sure to assemble it close to the location it will live so that you can just slide it into place and don't have to move it once assembled. It must always be kept in the upright position or the top and bottom will separate. If I had room for a third unit I would buy one! This is not an "industrial strength" unit but very strong and well worth the money. ... show more

    • Company half-willing to help...but don’t expect concern for your dollar spent
I missed the memo on this shelf having 7 million parts to assemble, the majority of which are sharp metal. Also, not as sturdy as the description leads you to believe. Metal is thin and shelving is thin pressed board or something similar. Worst of all is the company’s care afterwards. I expressed this review’s sentiment to them and was told they would gladly take it back if I paid for the three heavy boxes to be shipped. A follow-up email reply using the same email chain asking them to reconsider this stance to avoid receiving a poor rating was met with a generic ‘sorry you didn’t like the item’ email and an uninformed ‘what can we do to fix this’ as if the customer service person didn’t read the history in the email chain or it was auto-generated. I get that everyone is stingy with expenses right now because of COVID but dang, your description was not precise and I’m sure offering to pay my return shipping wouldn’t have broke you. The only reason I kept the shelving units was because the return shipping was almost as much as I paid originally. The box is marked "fragile," which doesn't inspire confidence in garage shelving. The shelves are flexible and are possibly the most fragile items in the box. The support frames are flimsy and easily bent. The assembly requires three people, and I recommend a pair of pliers in addition to the screwdriver and rubber mallet the instructions "mention." I have the shelves assembled in my garage but I haven't loaded them yet. If the shelves bend or are crushed under the weight of the cleaning supplies I plan to store, I will update this review. ... show more

These will get the job done. Other than that, you should know that they ship with gloves to wear while you're assembling them because the metal pieces have sharp edges and those [cheap] gloves will be shredded by the time your'e done assembling these things. The uprights come in 2 spans and everything is a friction fit so picking these up and moving them can undo a lot of banging and hammering that went into assembling them. Mostly a pain in the butt to assemble but at the end of the day, they're functional utility shelves. ... show more

    • Be careful it’s sharp!
It’s made by iron. Very heavy and sharp. They didn’t trim the line! I have been cut by it many times. Because of that, I have to Use tape to cover all iron side.

Shelf's are made in china and they are supper cheap compared to others. The metal is very thin and they are not the most sturdy but they do the job. As long as you are not putting really heavy things on them you should be fine. In my case i just wanted to organize my garage and I really liked how it turned out. ( if you get these and want them to be more sturdy, you can always screw them on to the wall ) overall for being super cheap they are good shelf's. ( if they were a little more sturdy i'd give them 5 stars ) ... show more
