Nice ratchet. The head is a bit floppy but if you want to tighten it up, remove the head and drop a spacer underneath the spring. You can customize the floppiness. it's small but not dainty, it has a good "feel", light enough to choke up on it and swing away. I would not consider putting a cheater pipe on this, get out the breaker bar for the really tough stuff.

Not a bad ratchet but definitely not gearwrench quality. The screw that holds the head to the handle was stripped out when I got it. Thankfully I didn't need to tighten it but still annoying. Also for some reason I couldn't remove the cover to inspect the gears, I removed the 2 screws but the cover plate wouldn't come off. I bought this mainly because of the small head and low price to have as a ratchet I can keep in my car and for that it's perfectly fine. The ratcheting mechanism is pretty smooth and the back drag is low. If you're looking for a ratchet to use on a regular basis though I wouldn't recommend it. Price is too close to other better ratchets with arguably better warranties.

Very impressed so far! I really haven't put it to the hard dirty work yet. However, I have tried it out and inspected it thoroughly, and I am very impressed with the overall quality and craftsmanship at this point. I will use it for more than automotive work and I will update this review if there are any problems. It is a great buy with good reviews and the price, way cheaper than local stores. I should have made this purchase a long time ago. Toolant seems to have a good following and and selection, I will be back for more as the need arises. Most definitely a great find and purchase! Thank you Toolant! I can't wait to see what's next.

Don't waste your money on this ratchet. First time I used it I could feel the gears are about to strip. There's a a spot on the gear that you can really feel that is getting ready to break. Spend a little more and buy the gearwrench brand on less you want to get injured when it breaks. I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of the sellers that removes the negative reviews so customers can feel like is a good product.

Hello, I purchased this 3/8 Ratchet in July 2025, I am a DIY for my 2002 Honda CRV LX FWD with 180,000 original miles. This Ratchet is a great addition to my toolbox and I use it every weekend because I retire in 2027 at 62yrs old and I am getting my Honda CRV LX FWD ready over the next 2yrs to become my daily driver. I appreciate this Ratchet it fits and adjust perfectly in very tight spaces, I recommend it to all DIY who work around their homes and vehicles!!!

Arrived with the retainer ball missing from the anvil, so sockets fall right off. Didn't realize this until after threw away the box so I can't return it. Have to use a small bit of electrical tape as a wedge to keep sockets on. Also, has a lot of back drag, so if the nut isn't already pretty snug you cannot move in reverse before tightening. 90 tooth gear is nice though. As is the shallow head which does help me get into tighter spaces. But sadly, the cons make this this one destined for the junk drawer and I will try again with something else.
