I am usually quite critical of items I review and always try to do my best in helping you decide. So my reviews are not based on a FREE item given to me but ones I have purchased and used. I have been using this TONOR USB Conference Microphone for almost a year now. I use it weekly in our church service. We have a small old country church that we live stream our services on and needed an omni directional microphone for those on Zoom. I had tried a couple of other microphones that worked okay. Each had different issues which we were not completely satisfied with. Then we purchases the TONOR microphone and tried it. Let me say that it is the BEST microphone by far of the ones we tried. The microphone picks up sound from all over our church (which is what we want...especially when doing prayer requests). The sound is crystal clear even when people are talking quietly. The mute button in the center works great when I need to use it! We also run it from the front our church all the way to the back (about 75 feet) using a USB cord and it works flawlessly. There is never a lag. It is very durable. It has been accidently dropped a few times but no dents or damage and the sound quality remained excellent. I usually don't give such high praise for an item but this microphone has worked perfectly over the last year.... and I believe it will last for MANY years! We are COMPLETELY SATISFIED and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the TONOR USB Conference Microphone! A+++ ... show more

    • Looks so good. Works so well. Seamless integration w/macOS
Pros: - Great talking to AI (saves a lot of time over typing) - Hears everything. Responds well to macOS settings input volume adj. - Looks fantastic. - Mute button is perfect. Cons: - Can't think of any, just note it's about 5" or so, so you aren't surprised (and it makes up for it with its low-sleek good looking profile, so it's easy to 'stash') I double-sided taped it to my reclining zero-g desk, somewhat hidden under the monitor when reclining, yet picks up the sound perfectly. Thus I don't have to stare at it constantly when working (e.g. no light in my eyes) but easy to see if it's on mute and toggle mute with the slightest tap. As opposed to directional mics which stick out and or don't have mute buttons or just aren't as easy to see state or access. It's just the most stylish one I've seen. It may be a feature of macOS, but I noticed the mute button doesn't work on lock screen! That may be a security feature.     • Almost a 5 start product - probably 4.5
I have worked from home full time for some number of years and have been living the video conference life for some time. Things have really kicked up lately and I'm on video conferences what seems to be 7 hours per day most days plus work. It can get tiring to continually go back to the screen to click the mute and unmute button and sometimes the buttons are even hidden in another tab or disappear automatically from the screen based on what you're doing. Having this external mic provides not only a better quality sound experience for those on the other end but also a visual cue to you whether you are live or muted-- red if muted-- so you can very easily see from your desk whether you're muted or not. It has made my life much easier and reduced uncertainty because I have no concerns to keep the screen mute button in view-- and when you join with various meeting platforms based on external companies hosting the call-- internal calls-- every tool is a little different. Having the mute in that button is perfect to keeping my work routine consistent so I can focus on the work and not the tools. And so why is a 4 or a 4.5 star instead of 5? Maybe this is my fault or not, but the touch sensitive spot on the speaker to mute and unmute isn't as sensitive as I wish-- maybe my fingers are just not conductive enough, but very often I have to tap the button more than once to get it to switch from mute to on or vice versa. It's the only annoyance about the speaker. Now that I'm thinking about it there are two other things I would change about the mic: 1. If the cable could be made more supple-- like the ones that come on Bose control pods for speakers-- it would help when pulling it toward you, pushing it away during desk work, etc. The cable is a little stiff so it wants to get caught on things. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but it could be improved 2. The way the metal grill of the mic is stamped around the touch button for mic lets the holes appear as though there is dirt around the button. I would design the grill with a tiny bit of solid metal around the button to improve this visual appearance which-- at the end of the day-- nothing is technically wrong with the device-- but adds uncertainty in the appearance and what's going on. To end, the price cannot be beat on this mic for what you get. I was not aware of this brand prior to a TikTok person posting about this exact model and I decided to give it a go-- and am glad that I did. ... show more

    • Lets several people in same room be heard on Zoom call.
Used to get sound from a group Zoom meeting. the built in microphone on every webcam only worked to speakers a few feet in front of the mic. This picks up folks up to 3 meters away, the furthest we've set up.

This worked well for me. I used it in a small auditorium that seats 200 people. the Microphone was attached to my computer at the front of the room and it was able to pick up speakers sitting in the last row about 30ft. I was using some AI software to take notes and transcribe the meeting. So any missed transcription could be due to an AI error. But 95% of the transcription was there. The room has good acoustic so that could have benefited the recording. Your milage may vary. Overall a good investment so far. ... show more

After three months, this product stopped working consistently. I thought maybe I didn't plug it in well enough but then I realized it was the microphone itself. I used it 2-3 times a week for the past 8 months and now it rarely works. I'm disappointed to have wasted money on this product. I do not recommend! ... show more
