  • Wow, just a fantastic steal of a stove…
Color: stainless steel color
A heavy Duty 304 stainless Bargain of a hot tent stove. So yeah, this thing is a beast, but it is incredibly well built, and attractive. I am a novice at this, so this was my first stove. Since I was in the market for one of these, it was hard to choose, but this stove checked all the boxes. It was durable, excellent construction, heat treated glass, Modular shelving system, self contained for transport, a carry bag, and so much more. This is very comparable to many more expensive stoves. I looked at a Pomoly that was near identical to this at over $500, Winnerwell had similar high priced options…So anyway, as a novice buyer to this market, I took a chance. At $200 this was an incredible find. It comes with everything you need including items not mentioned in the description, like long tool for opening the door, hot plate and ash tray scraper, gloves, spare hardware, a microfiber cloth, and the best surprise, the ash tray underneath is a fully functional oven with a temp gauge. Not a lot of stoves offer an oven especially at this price point, but other reviewers have pointed out that it is a really nice feature of this particular stove. Are there cons? Yes. There are only 2 windows, it’s not titanium, there appears to be no gaskets for the door. The heat treated glass is not as durable as more expensive heat treated tempered glass so you have to wait for the glass to cool down on its own, you can’t just spray water on it when it’s piping hot or it will crack as the manufacturer warns. BUT. That being said all those cons are nit picking at this price. So what else is great? Ok the inside firebox again is all 304 stainless including the 3 thick grates that hover above the oven chamber. You get near 8 feet of height with an adjustable flu, decent spark arrester, and steel tie down support ring for the chimney up top, folding legs so that it sits high enough to operate, but low enough for a minimal frost ring in freezing temperatures. Don’t want to use the chimney? They got that covered too. It comes with a burner insert where the chimney would be normally be inserted. The advantage for a heavy stainless steel stove like this is stability and excellent conductor of heat or heat retention, where titanium relies on specific hot spots to cook on. I’d also like to add, that I had no damage or bent hardware from shipping. It was pristine wrapped in gobbs of plastic and styrofoam double boxed. Overall, I really feel like I got my money’s worth here, and as a first time buyer this is a great introduction in to a hot tent stove world. ... show more

  • Built tough
Color: stainless steel color
Well designed camp stove, heat output is great however I would change a few things. 1.) ash drawer is great for ash, but that's about it. It's too small for any real baking, so it takes away from the amount wood you can keep in the burning chamber. 2.) weight is really heavy, it's very well made and good at resisting warping, but that comes at the cost of weight. I don't imagine laughing this around while hiking. 3.) don't expect this to burn all night, it works well and you can get good and hot, but due to the small size, you'll burn through your stash every three hours. Maybe closing up some baffles may help 4.) instruction manual is multilingual word salad. I didn't expect much anyway, but they could have tried harder. Overall I enjoy using the stove, it drafts well and doesn't make much smoke at all once it really gets going. If you know how to light a fire, this is an easy to use appliance, and works as designed. After about 10 burns, I'm still happy with it, and I've cooked a few nice steaks on top. ... show more

  • Internal combustion area is not fully usable
Color: stainless steel color
This is a heavy gauge metal heater but the limiting factor is thr internal flange that restricts you from putting in a 13 inch long for a long burn. This flange reduces the use of long and larger wood material being stuffed in.

  • Don’t recommend this wood-burning stove
Color: stainless steel color
This wood-burning stove may look appealing, but that's where the positives end. It simply isn't designed to heat an inflatable tent effectively. Expect to be up all night trying to stay warm, as this stove serves only as an ambient feature rather than a reliable heat source. After our first use, we encountered a major issue: the latch became stuck, and we had to wait an extended period before we could open it. A faulty latch after just one use is unacceptable. Furthermore, the stove leaks small amounts of smoke into the tent, making it difficult to breathe. To counter this, we had to leave a window open, which only lets in the cold. Overall, I cannot recommend this wood-burning stove. It's incredibly disappointing, especially given its aesthetic appeal. We'll be returning it in search of a more efficient and reliable heating solution. An efficient woodburning stove is a must when camping. ... show more
