I like the addition of a cotton, light weight blanket to dress the bed. Cotton is so comfortable and breathable, the blanket acts as an extra layer of insulation. I always wash before using. I was surprised at the amount of lint generated by this covering! I had to empty the lint trap three times from my dryer. I thought the dryer was broken. Really beautiful blanket and so soft! I washed it today for the first time, and following the guidance the dryer was on low, so it took a few runs to get fully dry. Also you’ll empty the lint trap every time you stop it. Excessive lint is entirely normal for 100% cotton blankets especially on the first few washes. This is softer than most cotton blankets I’ve had in the past. It’s a nice heavy weight, but I can still tell it’ll be breathable enough for summer. The color is a pretty pale blue, almost a baby blue but a little richer. Also love that on a King I can tuck it in. Just barely reached, but it’s enough. You would think with a name like Tommy Bahama you would get a quality product. This is the worse blanket I've ever purchased. I put it on my bed to make sure of the fit, once I was good with that I washed it per the instructions before using. When I took it out of the washer I could not believe how much lint there was. I put it in the dryer and it actually clogged my dryer vent up with the lint. Once dry I put it on the bed just out of curiosity and it had shrunk inches! I had to clean my dryer vent with my vacuum attachment and I am still getting that blanket lint in my dry vent. Needless to say I returned all 4 blankets. ... show more

I'll admit, when the box arrived and I was opening it, I was prepared to be disappointed. I spent hours looking for the perfect blanket in just the right color (pale aqua), and the one I ordered from Kohl's was unattractive and SO not aqua. But this one ... as soon as I opened the box and took the blanket out, I fell in love with it. It really IS pale aqua, is nice and large, and is the perfect weave.
