I have read all the 1 reviews and was a little scared to try this but I can tell you after about an hour of use, I am more than satisfied with this product! It was very easy to assemble, great packaging, instructions are clear, concise and it’s not just a single sheet. It’s a nice booklet that has step by step instructions with photos and text for every step. The screen is more than large enough but I will attempt later to connect to a TV with included HDMI cable. I bought it as you can see in the photos for watch repair and coins. The magnification is perfect. Able to zoom and still work on watch because the height of the adjustment pole is perfect. I have no issues with anything and resolution is awesome. A couple of notes. I kept touching power and it would not come on. I hit reset button and still wouldn’t come on. I was getting very nervous. I thought it may have to be charged first but one thing the directions did fail to say is to press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn on and off. I did not see any issues with build quality. Everything was working properly. I also thought it may only be able to be used on battery and not plugged in. Not true, you can fully use it plugged in or unplugged after charged up. Also once you zoom in and sharpen the camera, you can use the remote to get an extra 18x zoom with the remote only. I was super happy about that. I have not used video or camera yet but you can disassemble a watch and have video and sound as you do it. I will not attempt to connect to a computer because you have to download software to use it which is not wise. 10.1” screen is big enough or use HDMI and a TV but stay away from unknown software download. So unless something changes later and if you want to use this for watch repair or coins, I couldn’t recommend it enough!! Go for it, you won’t be sorry as long as everything works out of box. If not, free returns! It is worth the money for what you get and what it does.

I'll have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the image quality. Some of the parts, particularly the focusing mechanism feel kind of cheaply made,, but it works well enough, especially considering the price! Fantastic for reading very small prints or getting a good look at electronic components for inspections, soldering, etc... Absolutely recommend for a hobbyist or even some professional work. I bought this for my Biomed department at a hospital. Great for the occasional component level work, etc. This probably wouldn't be the best for someone that works at a repair bench and uses it all day, but for most other uses, its tough to beat. Worth noting: I didn't realize it actually runs on a rechargeable battery which is nice... It comes with 2 micro usb cords for the base light, and monitor, but no charging block..

I use my microscope for examining coins. I started with one that would be considered a beginners and after some research, comparisons and thought I bought this model. I love the size of the screen and was surprised at how clear and bright it is as well as the size of the viewing area, although I use my laptop with it most of the time. But, when multitasking I will use the Tomlov screen which is really enough. Really, no disappointment here. I love the extra lighting and most of all the adjustable height which is high enough to see the entire coin. My only fault with this product is the user instructions which I do not find clear enough. I am generally very good at following directions but this was lacking clarity on some points. Glad I bought this one, very happy with it. Well, now that I know how to work it properly.

I love this for coins! It is also great for looking at bug!!! In my opinion, there are some design flaws. First...and most significant...is the way the monitor attaches to the post. It is secured by dropping it into the "ring" and then tightening two screws. These two screws do NOT secure the monitor "securely". You do risk dropping the monitor if you are not careful. A "slot" with screws would have been better, imo. Secondly, the black base reflects a lot of light. I have opted to put a plane white paper on the base, with the subject for review on top of the paper. This allows for you to move the subject around without working the whole mechanism. Third, the 2 gooseneck side lights tend to get in the way and dont really do much..qgain..my opinion. There is a deffinate learning curve whether you use the light function on the gooseneck lights or the main light....depends on what you like, I suppose. The 10 inch monitor is more than adequate for viewing. It is wild to plug it into your TV (HDMI cord included..one end micro..for the monitor..and the other standard for your TV input). Overall..I am very pleased with this product...you just need to keep aware of the stability of the monitor.

Exceptional microscopic tool. It paid for itself the first week of use. As a coin digger, it has made it so much more fun and exciting to search 1000’s of coins. Battery life is good for what it’s expected to do. The best way to use it is to keep it plugged in while using and unplug it when shut down. Great value for the $$$. Worth every penny- great focus and lighting and very easy to set up and adjust while using!!

UPDATE: I purchased a SECOND microscope on 12/30 and it is being returned as well. Everything charged this time, but the light on the scope (not the lights on the base) QUIT WORKING. Monitor is fully charged. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. BTW - when the screen did finally come up it said 7/1/2022. So these cameras having been sitting around for several years. I bought this microscope based on other comments from users and from comments on Amazon. The product came safely packed. However, the monitor would not work. Here are the things I am very disappointed in both with the microscope and Tomlov customer service. #1 - For the price, the microscope does not come with the simple, cheap USB plugs that are required in order to charge the monitor AND the base. #2 - the monitor NEVER CHARGED even after 3 hours so I contacted Tomlov only to find out, (and wasn't in the instructions) the base and the monitor have to be charged AT THE SAME TIME. This is pretty stupid considering the base and the monitor don't interact. #3 - the directions and some internet research I read the battery in the monitor may be replacing - good luck since the monitor is a SEALED UNIT and the battery CAN'T be replaced. #4 - again, not in the instructions, but even after the LED said the monitor was ready (green light), don't think all is well and good. The unit must be charged for more than 3 hours. #5 - THEN, per customer service and not in the directions, you must try turning on the monitor by LONG PRESSING the power button (their words). None of their recommendations worked so I had to pack it back up and return it. I did order a new one and hopefully there won't be more problems. I will post another review for the second one. If you should want to purchase this model, KEEP ALL THE PACKAGING MATERIAL. UPDATE: I purchased a SECOND microscope on 12/30 and it is being returned as well.

The screen on the Digital Microscope is a perfect size to get a good image of the item you are looking at. It’s easy to put together and sturdy so you will not have to worry about it falling over. It comes with a remote control and micro SD card. Fun device for the whole family to use.
