For years I simply used pencil type tire gauges without problem. Fifteen years ago I purchase a digital gauge which was reliable and accurate and the battery actually lasted that long! When it died last year, I ordered another digital gauge only to find the battery life was abysmal, wouldn't even last for four tires. The company replaced it and the new one was no better. After reading a LOT of reviews I ordered a TireTek gauge and could not be more satisfied. Accurate, easy to read, and consistent when checked against several pencil gauges known to be accurate and the best part? NO batteries to worry about!

Owned this for years, very durable and still gives accurate reading. Stored in car, exposed to all temps (especially heat) continues to function well. Other reviews report the gauge stops holding reading after time however it just needs to be cleaned (company has video on it). I’ve checked this against the common cheap digital ones on Amazon and they’re within 1 degree of each other so I feel confident after years of use.

I liked all the features---Rubber backed on the sides and rear of the unit. Easy to read numbers. Also it was equipped with a swivel air connection to work with these plastic wheel covers. I expect this unit will last 10 years. Also, I found out that the gauges on my air tanks were off by 10 PSI. Instead of the ideal pressure of 35 PSI---I had a little too much air in 3 of my tires----45 PSI. The other tire had 28 PSI because of a minor/small leak. Anyway this purchase was well worth the $ invested in this unit.
