tl;dr: This is a perfect solution if you rent your home or just don't want to drill holes. It was incredibly fast to install and holds the doorbell securely, solving the issues I had with command strips falling off. I ordered this because we rent our house and aren't allowed to drill holes into the exterior walls. I had previously tried using command strips to keep the doorbell in place, but they kept failing (melting in the heat), and the doorbell would eventually fall off. I needed something that would stay put without requiring a permanent installation. The installation was incredibly fast and easy. I didn't have to break out any power tools or worry about damaging the door frame. I’ve decided not to use the anti-theft plate because I don't need that level of security and it’s just one less thing to hassle with, but it’s nice to have the option. One thing to note is that because of the way my door is built, I couldn't install it as high up as I would have ideally liked. It sits a bit lower, but that is a limitation of my specific door, not the mount itself. The mount feels like good quality, and it holds the device firmly in place. It has definitely improved the durability of my setup compared to the tape I was using before. It does exactly what it says it will do, and I'm really happy to have it mounted securely. In summary, this has been a great find for our rental. It’s a simple, effective piece of gear that solves a frustrating problem.
