It inflates tires... It does take a while... My Expedition calls for 35psi(cold). After the vehicle sat for 6 hours, checked my pressures (with a very accurate gauge I used to use at the racetrack) and all were low. This pump has an auto shut off feature when your desired pressure is reached. I set it for 35 and hooked everything up. It stopped as it should have, but the accuracy of the built in gauge is a bit off. My tires inflated to 34,34, 36, and 37. All were aired to the same indicated cutoff point of 35.. It did take about 3-5 minutes per tire so it's not fast. The cord was long enough to reach... But I'd use a separate guage. ... show more

I got this as a back up to one I already have of another brand. This one does not seem to be as heavy. It does have a longer wire to the power sorce than my other one does. So that is a plus. It does have a couple of parts to air up balls and other small things of that source. Maybe it could even air up an air mattress. Time will tell if it holds up. I hope that I do not have to use it. ... show more

Living in a hot climate, the tire pressure on my car can fluctuate. This portable air compressor worked perfectly to ensure my tires were inflated to the correct psi. The set up is very basic and easy to follow. I have a compact SUV and the cord reached all of the tires without a struggle. The compressor is small enough to just fit into the under compartment where my spare tire is, which is convenient for storage. The one area the product may improve is its material. It is not made of a rugged material that can easily be tossed around the gravel or hard surfaces. The plastic material is on the lighter side, so I was just careful with how hard I placed it on the ground to keep it in great condition. I got this for my wife to keep in her car. I have one for myself an wanted to make sure she had one too. I use mine pretty frequently for many different things. She probably wont use hers as much as I use mine, but I feel good knowing that if she gets a flat tire, she can at least get home or to the tire shop by inflating her tire with this. This is what I have been searching for for a long time! I needed to get air into my tires because of the temperature drop. I couldn't find a single gas station that had a working air pump. I no longer need to do that. This is amazingly small and compact. The tubes and components are very well made. This stores neatly in the trunk and takes up very little space ( a few inches). i had another tire inflator simmilar to this beforehand but it took forever to get my tires up to pressure... this is not the case with this one. plenty of power to fill your tires to pressure within about two minutes tops if its just a normal low tire, probably about three or four minutes from completely flat. great product and great value ... show more
