  • Works surprisingly well
I've been carrying around a small compressor in my car for at least 20 years. It's slow. It's loud. And it requires running a long cord to a vehicle power outlet to use it. It had a pressure gauge on it that was completely untrustworthy. I tolerate it but I don't love it. But times are changing. Lithium batteries are enabling cordless tire inflators that make the entire process much simpler. This one is at the lower end of the price range but it does its job effectively. This inflator consists of the inflator itself, a hose that gets attached to use and detached to store, an assortment of different ends for inflating things other than tires (e.g., balls), and a cord that can be plugged into a vehicle power outlet for times when the internal battery might be discharged before a task is completed. Having the cord as a backup is a very nice feature. There is also an included storage bag that is just okay. I wish it zipped shut to prevent me from losing any parts. The inflator has different modes for balls, bicycle tires, auto tires, and more (more = an icon I can't identify). The manual doesn't list the modes or specify the purpose of the different modes. I inflated a partially deflated car tire in "ball" mode and it worked fine. That said, I do recommend using the correct mode. I began by screwing on the hose to the inflator on one end and then the tire on the other end. The process was simple. I was pleased that there was no air leakage on either end. The pressure gauge on the inflator was off by 3 lbs compared to my tire gauge. I set my final pressure using the "+" and "-" buttons on the inflator. A quick press of the center power button started the inflation process. It took about ten minutes to go from 43 lbs to 51 lbs. That was faster than I expected. As anticipated, my tire gauge read 3 lbs higher than the inflator, 54 lbs. In the future, I will subtract 3 lbs from my tire pressure target. After finishing the process, the battery indicator still read full. The inflator was not warm but the brass connection between the inflator and the hose was uncomfortably hot. The manual gives a duty cycle of 30 minutes of inflating followed by 10 minutes of rest. This seems aggressive to me. I would be inclined to let it cool off more often. Overheating is usually what kills these small pumps. There are two things I don't love about this product. The first is a personal pet peeve. This pump has a USB-C port on it but it cannot be charged with a standard USB-C cable. It requires a cable with the larger USB-A plug on one end. Having to use a special cable defeats the point of offering USB-C. We need to get to the point where a single type of cable covers all our charging needs. This pump doesn't get us any closer to this reality. My second issue is that the display is hard to read in bright light. This isn't a deal killer but it makes the inflator a little hard to use. So do I recommend this inflator? Yes, I do. It is compact and convenient to use. I can't speak to its longevity but if it is treated carefully in regard to overheating, I see no reason why it wouldn't last. There are other higher end battery powered inflators in the marketplace. Milwaukee makes two excellent units. But these are considerably more expensive too. For a "keep it in the car in case of emergency", this unit seems like the right choice. Only the incompatibility with standard USB-C cables and the display legibility prevent me from giving it five stars. As is, four stars. ... show more

  • Very portable tire inflator
When I received this tire inflator, I was surprised how compact it was. I was even a bit skeptical at first. The package is quite elegant. It has a carrying bag, various connector, and a car power adapter. I wanted to see how the inflator would work using battery-only to simulate a breakdown with the car off. As it turns out, I have a leaky tire and needed to pump over 15 lb full of air. So this would be a good test. The first thing I like is that the attachment to the tire stems is very easy. You simply screw it on unlike an older portable tire inflator I have. From there, you get a quick reading of how much air is in your tire. The preset was 36lb but you can change it. I bumped it up to 37 lb. And then I activated the pump to see if it would fill my tire with air. This inflator is not a speedy inflator. It is a slower and steady device. It roughly took about 45 seconds per pound to fill my tire. The downside of this inflator is that I had to crouch down to hold the device. I didn't want to lay it down and let it run because the hose is short. So, my leg and knees got a little sore from crouch down while waiting. Having said all that, I am pleased with the outcome. I was able to inflate over 15 lb of air into my tire within 10 minutes without once having to turn on my car. In the past, I would have to turn on my car while using another tire inflator drawing from the car power outlet. But with this new inflator, I don't have to do that. And the battery reading is hard to see but I think I only used 15%-20% to inflate that low tire. What that tells me is that I can easily inflate all 4 tires with battery charge to spare. I recharged the tired inflator as I drove around town using my USB-C phone charger to be ready for the next use. Overall, I am very happy with this new tire inflator. It is a keeper! ... show more

  • Terrific Tire Inflator
I like how compact this pump is. It has a nice case for everything and is easy to put anywhere in the car, even the glove compartment. It pumps well and does the job easily. I've used it on bikes, cars and even tried it on an air mattress. The mattress was a little harder because the hole was too big, but it still blew it up. Definitely worth the money. ... show more

  • this is great for your car's emergency kit
Battery life is pretty good, you won't get all four tires done on 1 charge but you will get several bicycle tires. What is great about this little pump is that it can plug into your car's battery port or lighter port and it can work off of that. With that said the power cord could afford to be a bit longer. It can barely reach my rear tires and I have a mazda 3, if you have a truck or full size sedan you may have some issues with the rear tire if it's not fully charged and you need the power cord. Still gave it 5 stars cause it works well and will get your tires to the desired PSI. ... show more

  • LOVE this gizmo!
I charged this up via the USB connection, set it to 40psi, and topped off all four tires (which were at 36 to 36.5psi). Used hardly any charge, and because you pre-set the pressure you want there's no putting the air hose on, measuring the pressure, and again putting the airhose on (or letter a too-high pressure out). It stops when it reaches the pressure you've set. After topping up all four tires I let the car tell me what it thought the pressure was and all four tires read the same as this device within one PSI. I'm a fan. Recommended. ... show more

  • Works exactly as intended
We filled 4 tires with no problems using the pump. It took about 2 hours roughly to change fully prior to use. The instructions were easy to read, in decent font size, and self explanatory. I liked it came with a bag to hold the machine and attachments together. Does come with a cigarette lighter connector in case you run out of charge. This is also decent size to put in your glove box.
