  • Nice watch. But Noisy for a wrist watch. Light up dial broke in 9 months.
Color: Black/Silver-Tone/White
It's a very nice watch. Classic design. The dark brown leather band looks fine and will probably hold up as well as any other leather band (say 2 years with rough use) The watch is simple, easy to read and use. I had no problem setting the date or time. I like the push-in light up option which is perfect for night viewing. This is not a glow in the dark watch. When you push the pin the face clearly lights up for easy night viewing. There is one negative. It is noisy for a wrist watch. In a quiet setting, I can clearly hear the tic-toc up to 12-18 inches from my ear. This is not the case with any of my other watches. Even my 39 year old self winding Timex (yep it's still working) is audible only to 4 inches. The others I can hear nothing at all. But the noise doesn't bother me. However, this may be an issue for people who sleep with the watch on. That's why I only gave it 4 stars. But for $18 bucks it's hard to go wrong. 7/30/17 Update: I also tested how accurately it keeps time. It gains about a second a week. I can live with a minute gain a year. Especially for $18 bucks. If you abuse your watches, This is the one to have. If it breaks, who cares. 3/19/18 Well, it still keeps time and date fine. But the light up dial is now broken. Shame too. It was real easy to see at night and it was the main reason I bought it. But it wasn't very expensive. Maybe you'll be luckier. I have downgraded it from 4 stars to 2 because it didn't even make it for a year. ... show more

  • Timex Men's Easy Reader : Easy to see the time; difficult to see the date.
Color: Black/Silver-Tone/White
This is a cheap watch. It's the first with mechanical arms I've worn in probably 30 years. I got it because I no longer need the stopwatch function of my previous 10 or so watches. I like that I can see the time in the middle of the night very easily by pressing a button. There are three things I don't like about this watch: 1) It has a loud ticker. 2) The date window is miniscule--tiny. I sometimes need a magnifying glass to read the date. That's unacceptable and is the main reason I probably won't get another of these. 3) There's something off about the watchband, that makes the watch pivot around my wrist so the face is always on the far side of my wrist and I have to make a major effort to swivel the watch back around so I can read it. The watch is never facing me when I need it! I've thought about trying another type of band, maybe a cloth one; just haven't gotten to it; and that band will probably cost about half of what the watch cost. Other than that, the watch is fine. ... show more

  • A great watch for smart people.
Color: Black/Silver-Tone/White
Got this on sale - incredible value for the money. Had an almost identical one that lasted a couple of decades. Hope this one does the same. I wouldn't have gotten rid of the old one, but the crystal had gotten scratched and I finally cracked it while changing the battery. In addition to keeping good time and seeming to run on the same battery forever, these watches have a feature you won't find in a $5,000.00 Rolex - no one will crack your skull open or shoot you to get it. ... show more

  • Low cost, low quality, tells time
Color: Black/Silver-Tone/White
I bought this to replace an earlier version of the same thing. The battery went dead in that one, the back is known as a "snap back" that lacks threads to attach to the watch body. The battery is a standard inexpensive model, but I was unable to "snap" the back into place. I have a more than passing understanding of what a friction fit is in machining, no help. Lacking a "watch press" to reassemble it, and knowing any jeweler would charge me at least $25 to touch it, buying a complete replacement for $28 was faster and easier. This is a low quality, don't care if you lose it, reasonably reliable watch. Its also easy for my 63yr old eyes to read without aid. ... show more

  • Definitely recommend
Color: Black/Silver-Tone/White
Very nice watch and completely worth the price. Been a while since I've owned a watch and I wanted something that was very casual yet equally professional. It has a very nice weight to it barely noticeable and a great features is that it doesn't hurt the top of your hand when you left your wrist upward. ... show more

  • Nice simple good quality watch - a classic win-win.
Color: Black/Silver-Tone/White
The watch is amazing, just what I expected from them - really easy readable clock face, classic design which fits both the T-shirts during your working week and casual style on a weekend. It's been a week - and the watch shows the time very precisely, second by second comparing with a laptop's clock. I love also the brand Indiglo backlight which unobtrusively helps you read the indications in a darkness. I am totallysatisfied with my purchase, it is definitely worth its price. ... show more

  • If you want a good watch, buy this one.
Color: Black/Silver-Tone/White
Can't give it a 5, because it is hard to LOVE a watch. I have had the same model watch for about 8 years and it works flawlessly. I replaced the battery once and the band twice. The band on my old one finally wore out again and I decided to get another new watch. I like the fact that it has hands so it is easier to read the time and I truly like the Indiglo feature that lights the dial when you push the stem. This will be my choice of watch....until they quit making this reliable piece. ... show more

  • Great value for $28 watch. Looks nice and more than accurate enough.
I've had this watch for about 3 weeks now. I like it. For $28, it is a great watch. I purchased the version with the brass colored rim, cream colored face and silver second hand. I like the looks, it is very easy to read. I like how it includes the day and date. I'm usually not a fan of leather wrist bands, but I like this one. It is comfortable. The Indigo light feature works really well in the dark and brightly lights up the dial and the hands are black against it, so it's easy to read at night too. I also performed a little test. I wanted to see how accurate it is. So I set the watch down to the second using time.gov, which uses the USA's official atomic clock. 2 weeks later, I checked the watch again vs. time.gov. It has gained 2 seconds. Doing the math, that makes it accurate to about 1 minute a year. More than precise enough for normal everyday use on a watch that costs $28. My only nitpick is that I wish the overall size of the watch was a little bigger. It's hard to determine the width of the watch online. But that's just my preference. ... show more
