  • And while that might not seem like a lot of time for some
Color: Black/Purple
This watch and I had been attached by the wrist for a little over a year. And while that might not seem like a lot of time for some, allow me to break down what this watch and I had been through together to give it this high review despite its short lifetime. Throughout the 13 months that I owned this watch I participated in 2 weekend army combat trainings, a one month army officers training over the summer, an 8.5 mile spartan race and my excessive wear. Meaning that I rarely if ever took off this watch. ever. showers, grenade courses, and sand crawls, this watch was with me all the way. So when I woke up one morning to find that the watch band had broken I was more upset about loosing a constant fixture in my life rather that thinking that I didn't get my moneys worth because I most certainly did. Now excuse my while I purchase another one. ... show more

  • EASY to use
I've tried both a smart watch and "fit-bit" watch, but reality is that I need something I don't have to remember to take off in the tub or the pool, I need large enough numerals to be able to see them, and a watch I can figure out how to set without going into Utube.(OKAY, yes, obviously I'm over 70, but no young person is probably going to order anything this un-techie anyway). Great price with a brand name I've actually heard of. ... show more

Color: White
Works well. I'm used to the Ironman watch like this that usually sells for 50-60$ and I thought this was the same but cheaper. I was wrong. It works fine but here's some differences. This watch's nightlight lights the entire back and the numbers are black. The other more expensive watch lights the numbers which is easier on the eyes when it is dark. Also, the nicer watch has 3 alarms that can be programmed. This watch has only one alarm that can be set. Other than that. It's pretty great. I got it because I wanted a watch that shows the date and has an alarm. I'd love to find one that was smaller, more "pretty" less "sporty" but this is all I've found so far. Also, the design on the face is hardly noticeable as it appears to be the difference between matte and gloss and not an actual picture. It's possible it's matte paint on a gloss surface, so you can only see it in the light at a specific angle. Also, the yellow is kind of neon, and therefore you can see it regardless of the angle. It looks like a yellow circle and a yellow spot for the M. I have to look close and examine it in angles to actually see the pretty design on the face. I'd rather the yellow be a different color because I don't like neon yellow, but I couldn't find anything else like it. All in all I'm satisfied with it and it works well. Alarm is loud, normal, and everything works fine. The band gets dirty as the days go by and has a grayness to it as it is also a matte finish. That doesn't bother me too much. I have been using these watches for the past 12 years or so and every 2-3 years the plastic on the band breaks and I have to get a new one. That's why I went with the less expensive one this time, but I really like the other one's back light more. ... show more

  • I pressed the buttons underwater so you don't have to
Color: Turquoise/Silver-Tone
This is an awesome watch! It does everything I want it to, except you can't push the buttons underwater. At least that's what the company said. But I really wanted to be able to push the buttons underwater (to count laps) so I decided to try it out anyway and see what happened. Well guess what? The company was right: don't push the buttons underwater! At first the watch was okay, and pushing the lap button (big middle one) under the water worked just fine. After a few presses though, the button stopped working--nothing happened when I pressed it. If I brought the watch out of the water the button worked again. I tried a couple more times after that to push the button underwater, but it didn't work again. I decided to stop testing it at that point. The watch looked fine. Fast forward two days and the watch face all of a sudden started to get cloudy, like there was water stuck under it (see photos). I opened up the case and there was indeed some condensation, but there was also water damage at the bottom of the watch innards, near where the button is: it was corroding. Eep! I cleaned up the watch and let it air dry until it was all better, then put it back together. That was two days ago and I haven't had any other problems. I don't plan to push the button underwater anymore, and I'd recommend you do the same. It will ruin your watch. 😁 It's a very good watch though, lightweight and easy to read. Hopefully I didn't damage it too bad as I intend to use it for several years! ... show more

  • Great electronics, not great bands.
Color: White
This watch has served me well over the past 2 years both for swimming laps and for a way to check the time in the middle of the night when I'm either feeding my baby or telling my two year old it's not time to wake up. (I don't like looking at my iPhone for the time because I find the screen light wakes me up too much.) However, two things: (1) the bands break and (2) I'm very frustrated with Timex in trying to find the replacement. I have two watches that have had bands break and replacing them as been a giant pain! I think you have to call customer service and send a check to post office box and wait for them to send you a replacement. It's 2016. The process shouldn't be that involved. Also, I type this as I sit on the phone waiting to speak to someone to get the address and make sure I'm ordering the correct band. This is my second attempt to call them and I've been on hold for over 30 minutes. I understand that Timex would rather you just buy a whole new watch and, indeed, that would be easier. However, I'm stickler for the environment and don't believe we should just throw things out that can be fixed. UPDATE: I was able to speak to someone (Faye) at Timex and she was very helpful. I've ordered a replacement strap for $12. I did leave feedback with her supervisor, Mrs. Robinson, that I would like a way to order these replacement bands online. ... show more
