What a GREAT tool!!! The loppers don't always reach where the little branches are. The l-o-n-g telescoping pruner with a pull cord is often more effort that it's worth. It's often cumbersome. But THIS little gem . . . The very sharp blade is activated with a hand squeeze (like scissors). It easily telescopes to 4 different lengths, and is small enough to get the blades into tight spots, where the long pole pruner has a pull-down chain the needs much more room to operate! I PRUNED OVER 120 WATER SHOOTS OFF OUR APPLE TREE IN 2 DAYS! No ladder needed. My husband was THRILLED!!! This one is the '180'. The '160' cuts through 1/4 inch branches.     • Amazing prunner
Good product. When I got I went and cut a bunch of green soft branches and a couple of a little bit thicker harder branches. I have very tall clusia hedge. It got very wide and tall. It is impossible to trim it with anything else. With this pruner it was easy. Some buyers complained that it does not have cutting power when fully extended. It is not correct. After you extend it, try to close/open blades with your hands few times until it get locked well. Then you can cut fine when fully extended. Also don't expect it to have power of shorter pruners or loppers. Use saw for thicker hard to reach branches. ... show more

Lightweight but seems sturdy enough. It took me about 20 mins to figure out how to work it There should be some basic instruction. The clip at the top arrived passed in and i could not operate it. I tried to close the shear at the bottom but was in operative Once i figured out the top must be pulled out before the clip opens I was then able TO FIGURE OUT THE TELESCOPING AND HOW TO ACTIVATE THE SHEARS.     • The Telescoping Pruner is a great tool.
I use the Pruners to do the hard to reach spots when I hand prune for customers. Great help after a little practice with it. I can work from the ground or a safer height on a ladder.

    • A quality precision product. Makes pruning a snap.
I use it on my wisteria vine that generates a tremendous amount of growth throughout the Summer and Fall which requires frequent pruning to keep it under control. It's also great for thinning out and removing unneeded tree branches (smaller).

    • Quality product; super sharp
Purchased for personal use to trim crepe myrtles and oak trees. It may be a bit overkill as this is a professional, probably commercial tool, but I am a huge proponent of having the right tool for the job. Makes this chore much less tedious and time-consuming.

I've used one at work for several seasons, bought one for personal use because I liked it so much. Worth the money because I do a lot of pruning. Easy to use, very light,fits into my Scion xB. They hold their edge incredibly well so now I'm looking at getting an ARS hand pruner.
