Opened my laptop and found the factory DIMMs. Was able to purchase this larger memory based on this information. When the new memory arrived, I replace the 1G DIMM with the new 4G. Started the system with no issues and Windows showed the new memory. Certainly runs faster.

The DIMM modules were used in a Dell Latitude 6410 computer to upgrade it from 4 Mbps to 8 Mbps RAM. They worked better than expected and They also fixed a problem we were having with the compute. The previous owner upgraded the computer and installed a 1067 Mhz clocking DIMM card instead of 1066 Mhz clocking cards. The computer was constantly giving us boot up problems. Mow it works great.
