With some minor wind the umbrella flipped inside out, which is fine, but it also snapped one of the structural arm bits. I don’t know if I’ll be able to fix it because it was a joint that snapped

    • Took some getting used to - - but solid afterwards...

As some have discussed previously, the umbrella was difficult to open. I was able to get it open originally by pushing my foot down on the slider. After I opened the umbrella, I left it open for a few days to see if it would stretch out. It was still a bit stiff but found a trick that works to open it. To open the umbrella simply use your middle finger and thumb at the base of the slider - it will pinch your fingers a little bit but you will be able to make the umbrella stay open. The umbrella was small enough, from a circumference standpoint, to fit in a side pocket of a work bag I purchased. I appreciate the portability which was a key feature I was looking for when I made the purchase. ... show more

Love the size and how compact the product is, I bought it for my 7 yo for rainy days at school. I won’t be packing it for him after all due to its flimsy-ness. You have to push and slide it pretty hard to latch it open; the latch button is quite small and difficult to lock into place.
