I bought this to take to Europe in my carryon. Loved the color and light weight. However, when I got to Croatia and needed it, I could not open it all the way. Other reviews said that it was difficult to actually pop it open for rain use and I thought, I am strong, I can do this. Nope. I bought this because I wanted a small, compact umbrella to carry in my absolutely overstuffed work backpack. I travel a lot for my job, and I get caught in the rain frequently. I didn’t want to carry around a big umbrella that got everything wet, so I took a chance on this. Best purchase ever! The carrying case is small enough to fit in the water bottle holder on my backpack, and it keeps the umbrella from getting everything wet after use. Plus it’s my favorite shade of purple.
