I haven't actually used it in the rain but I had to write a review because it folds up so tiny! I do not think I have ever seen a foldable umbrella that folds this small, and when you open it the canopy is still a great size! My backpack is already heavy enough so this umbrella is perfect. I just received this umbrella and when I opened it, the stem of the handle just doesn’t seem sturdy. I feel like wind would possibly break it. It’s super cute though!

The product arrived in one piece, but when it was removed from the plastic wrapping that it was shipped in the smell of ripe fresh fish instantly hit my nostrils. As the umbrella was opened the smell was 10x worse resulting in it being left opened in the garage for 2 days to air out. After the airing out process was complete the umbrella refused to fold back up and the handle kept the umbrella from closing completely. The quality of the umbrella is also very poor, which from the price it shouldn’t be a surprise. Wouldn’t not recommend too anyone! ... show more

I like the size of the umbrella, will be great in my backpack, but this is not very sturdy, in fact, I would say very flimsy. This is definitely not windproof as indicated in the item title. We get very strong winds in our area and I guarantee this will not hold up. It also did not fold up very well - the brackets did, but the teflon material took some work, which given the wind and heavy rain we get, will be a pain. ... show more
