Underneath, you'll find our heat-, oil-, slip-, and abrasion-resistant, non-marking rubber outsoles with Ladder Lock heels that help grip ladder rungs.

I love them, very comfortable and they fit great. They have some weight to them but I like it. Compared to other work boots with similar quality they are a good value as well.

My favorite everyday wear work boot. The external met-guard does not cause pressure like the internal met-guard boots do. The design does cause extra wear on the laces...but they include an extra set, so that is good. A bit heavier than some other styles I have worn but not too heavy for everyday wear; but, if weight is a concern for you these may not be the right pair for you. I love the look and everything about the boot. Only problem is have (this could possibly be limited to me because I know others wirh the same boot and they dont have this problem) is inside rhe boot where your heel rests, is a runner backing that rubs my foot raw. I ended up getting insoles and double my socks up to prevent this and the boots aren't big or small on me. But the boot itself is great for welders especially as the metguard is a partner the boot. ... show more

Had multiple pairs of the soft toe version without the meta cap. When it was time to get some new boots after 3 years of inside electrical in a live data center environment (no mud and constant wetness from rain) I saw these were about $10 cheaper and looked kind of neat with the meta cap. I’m not crazy about the weight steel toes add but the meta cap itself doesn’t seem to be much noticeable added weight as it’s made from foam and the toe rubber material; it’s in fact directly molded with the toe cap material. Selling points that keeps me coming back to this style specifically is a roomy toe box, my toes aren’t squished together and in these steel toe specifically, it’s not pressing against my toes considering they’re always as wide as they will ever be unlike softoes. The insoles on these always last the life of the boot and it’s as comfortable as day 1 it seems. Doing electrical these are 18kv insulated rated so that’s a plus and they have metal scales so screws and nails don’t go through and into my foot. I’ve found they work too! And the flexible fiberglass rod in the sole to push back when I step reducing fatigue seems to work in my experience. 10/10 will keep getting this boot. ... show more

Bought end of October, it’s now only middle of January so only 3 months old and soles are coming apart on both boots, also very stiff boots and still not quite broke in yet, I’m a welder and material handler, wouldn’t recommend them if you work more than 8 hours a day or move around a lot

I guess they are not what I was thinking, hard to do steps in. Kinda hard to walk in also. I work hauling beer and in out warehouse , i've seen the foot guard and thought it would be great in case a keg or something fell on my foot from 3foot up or a skid hit my foot i wanted more than my toes protected. They kind of meet that service but they also have a leather spot at the back of the heel.I guess to prevent the material from ripping. But it rubs bad .. soon as my feet start to sweat it starts making a blister . If I try to tighten them, they end up hurting my ankles. I do like them just not for alot of walking. If I was in the warehouse riding the electric dollies and doing no walking I guess they would work but as a driver doing a bit of walking I dont really use them like I thought I would unfortunately. But as far as quality, they are a five star. Boot is made well, Just not what I thought I needed. also wish the plate was removable or changeable I could at least take it off and use them , but unfortunately I can't do that either. ... show more
