  • Great Boot
Color: Brown V1 Size: 7
Bought these as part of a 2-3 week contract that involved working in a production plant. They arrived on time. Fit was good. For those who might be concerned with style, they look great with jeans or chinos. They are not water proof, but I did put some mink oil on them which provided some water resistance. The boots broke in nicely with just a 1/4 mile walk around the neighborhood. No complaints. Read some reviews that talked about a back seam which caused irritation or blisters. I don't have such a seam on this pair. I would recommend probably doing half a size up if you are going to wear heavy socks. These fit me well but if I were to wear a pair of insulated socks I would probably want half a size up. All in all, a nice boot. Looks classy if you end up if the front office as opposed to the production plant side. Got plenty of compliments about them. Only negative side is they need some leather balm and a mink oil treatment before you put them into use. Beats boots I have tried on at Walmart or other similar "big box" stores. UPDATE: I noticed about 4-5 days after I purchased these the price went down significantly, about $30, they were still new in the box but I needed them in just a few days. I called Amazon to request a price adjustment seeing the difference was pretty stark. At first the agent told me they had a no price adjustment policy but I could return them and purchase a new pair. I pointed out that was pretty absurd seeing that I liked the item just the price change was about 30% in the just a few days. Plus I needed the item in about two days which would not have given the replacement enough time to ship. After being put on hold for a few minutes I think the agent got approval from the supervisor to simply credit my card. I was overall happy with the customer service experience, but almost every merchant has some sort of short term price adjustment policy. I know part of Amazon's business model involves "dynamic pricing" depending on demand, inventory, and supply, but to require a full return (with them paying the shipping) for an item just purchased in order to effectively get the lower price is both a waste of time/money for Amazon and a hassle for the consumer to have to mail back the entire product (especially during the holiday season). One further update, make sure to purchase the steel toe version of this boot if that is what you desire. There is a soft toe version that looks identically the same that is cheaper but does NOT have a steel toe. A friend found this out the hard way when he called me up to gloat he got a pair even cheaper then me. He was not so pleased with himself though when I asked if he got the steel toe version he required for work only to find out it was the soft toe one. ... show more

  • Great boots, look nice!
Color: Brown-2024 New Size: 10.5
Great boots went up a half size for these and it’s a good fit seems to be pretty durable, fairly comfortable and also they have decent water resistance only downside is they seem a bit wide for not being a wide pair.

  • Very Sturdy and Comfortable Very Sturdy and Comfortable
Color: Wheat-2024 New Size: 11.5 Wide
I was really torn between these and the Gray Direct Attach Timberland Pros. These are heavier because have the Goodyear Welt. This is a must have for my boots. They were also on sale for $130 compared to the price of the DA TP ST at $160. I really like the Sturdy feel of these with the bottoms having hard rubber. This will hopefully last longer than Wedge sole on the Irish Setter Wingshooters. Irish Setters and Timberland Pros have always been the most comfortable and offer the best Protection. These are very comfortable and have a roomy Toe Box. Unfortunately they don’t come with the Timberland Pro Honeycomb Anti Fatigue insole. They come with a pretty thick foam AF Sole but it is not as good as the Honeycomb. I have already ordered on which was an additional 20$. I rubbed these down with some Mink Oil like I do all my boots before wearing. I really like the Honey Brown color that they are now. I got them for the lighter wheat look so when they dry I hope they lighten up. If they make these in the same Light Gray as the DA TPs I will buy them in a heartbeat. The Soles wear out on all the Irish Setters and Timberland Pros that I have Owned. I have had the Ashbys, Morabs, and Wingshooters by Irish Setters. For Timberlands I have had the Boondocks and their Composite Toe Work Shoes. I didn’t want to spend another $$180 to $250 on another pair of Irish Setters. I don’t want to pay $150 to get them Resoled when the Tops are worn out and stink. Timberlands are a great Value for the Price. These are an outstanding value for 130$. These would be perfect if they came with the HoneyComb AntiFatigue Insoles. ... show more

  • For regular timberland classic boots I had to go down 1 full size to get a good fit without my heel slipping and excessive room
Timberland sizing is always a mystery to me. Depends on the type of boots you buy from them, sizing are all over the map. For regular timberland classic boots I had to go down 1 full size to get a good fit without my heel slipping and excessive room in the toe box. That's what I was planning to go with before I bought this steel toe boot, thank god I read the reviews on them. 1. Sizing: For this boot, you really want to go to your normal true size. Now, everyone has a different opinion on what their true size is, the way I determined mine was that there is no heel slippage, and I have enough room in the toe box that my toes are not right up against the end of toe box. For most Nike/Adidas/Jordans, I am a size 10, and they typically fit me just as I described above. For this pair of timberland, I went with a size 10 with normal width. The fit was good, but not perfect. Due to the steel toe, the toe box are narrower, and shorter then typical Timberland, and since it's a work boot, the insole seems to be thicker and provide better support than regular Timberlands (i'm comparing it to Timberland classic 6 inch boot). All that translate to a smaller fit when compare to a Timberland classic 6 inch boot. So when I went true to size, it felt good. Only complain is that the heel of the boot is wider so I do have some heel slippage, but this was easily remedied by thicker socks or socks with heel padding. 2. comfort: I bought this mainly to work in a laboratory condition where there are heavy machinery, so I don't walk in them all day long. However, I did notice that the support was excellent and my feet ain't tired at end of the day despite the fact that this pair of boots is HEAVY! 3. lacing: I like to provide some comment on lacing. It's hard to to tie this pair of boot up "snug." What I do I mean by snug? Well, typically when I lace up a boot, I like to make sure I felt a little bit of pressure from lacing it up from the top of my foot up to where I tie a knot. However, because of the steel toe and it being a very stiff boot, I can hardly feel any pressure on top of my foot when I lace it up. But since my foot isn't moving around in the boot, I was ok with it. You can lace the top of the boot tight once you get past your ankle though, the top of the boots does have more give to them where you can lace it up tight if needed. 4. Overall: Great boot, on the heavy side, but provided great support. Durability review will come later. ... show more

  • Nice work boots
Color: Brown-2024 New Size: 10
Boots are really nice, recommend going a half or full size up, adding sole inserts does make it a little tight, but still comfortable. Additionally, I got 2 free Trojans inside one of the boots, unexpired, might have to show off the new boots in da club later and put to use my free gift.

  • Great for occasional use, not for blue collar workers
Color: Brown-2024 New Size: 12
As normal these boots took a bit to break in, which was to be expected. However the heel on the inside of the boot has left significant calluses after 5 months of use. They do not breathe well, and definitely hold moisture. Aswell as seems begining to reiterate and tear along the steel toe line. These would probably be fine for those needing a solid boot on occasion, but not for every day use in the weather like I had hoped. ... show more

  • Best pair of work boots I've owned
Color: Brown-2024 New Size: 12
Best pair of steel toed boots I've owned. Bought them for some gig work. I use them around the house for projects as my old pair of work around the house shoes aren't nearly as comfortable or durable. The steel toes and heft of the boot come in very handy for when something needs "adjusting", or simply for lifting or setting large heavy objects down without crushing fingers or digging holes. Based on the feel of construction I suspect these boots may outlive me. ... show more
