I bought these shoes for my husband, he works at a facility maintenance company. Basically he works outside most days. At first it wasn’t sure about these boots because they are different from what he usually purchases, which is plain black boots. I had him try them for a day at work and he was so impressed with them, it differently changed his mind. He said they are differently light weight for being steel toe boots, he said that they were so comfortable and breathable, they are waterproof, slip resistant in the rain. He doesn’t come home after a 8 hour shift complaining that his feet are hurting because of the steel toe boots. Sorry, I should’ve taken the photos before he started to wear the boots, but at least they are doing what they are made for. ... show more

The steel toe, and waterproof features were key to the purchase. Both worked as advertised. The goretex uppers are great. The toe box seems a bit small. However, this is a characteristic of the steel toe boots I've worn over the years. One year later update - not a fan of the fabric eyelets and lace-up system. They are cumbersome and make it difficult to quickly lace up the boots. The fabric eyelets do not allow for an easy adjustment due to its characteristic friction. The should have used metal eyelets or hooks. I wear these almost every day, and the eyelet "feature" is a definite annoyance. ... show more
