  • Typical inexpensive work shoe quality
Size: 12 Color: Black
Initial overview of the shoes show a typical glue construction. No noticeable imperfections. The initial quality is as you would expect of Timberland Pro or any of the other big 4 work shoe makers (Chippewa, Red Wing, Danner and Wolverine) that offer an inexpensive safety toe shoe. I am not expecting the same quality as my other nearly $200 work boots and recommend that anyone thinking of purchasing these, remember, they aren’t $200 quality. Tried them on and although the laces are a bit short for my liking, they work. This appears as any non-waterproof footwear would. Fit - they fit exactly as my other size 12 safety toe work boots fit. Toe box is plenty big. My foot isn’t wide enough to be in a wide but just enough that a typical size shoe isn’t entirely comfortable at first. I’m old enough that my feet have overall stopped growing so the marginal room in the toes is adequate. Note, if you haven’t ever worn a safety toe boot/shoe, I could very well see how sizing these could be an issue. Finish - Giving 4 stars as these, out of the box, look very good. Both shoes were the exact same length. I will say the right shoe felt like the foot pad was built up a bit higher on the outside vs the left foot. I will be wearing them tonight and breaking them in. I will be, after the 30 day guarantee is up, applying a waterproofing sealer to help with the ‘water resistance’. This is only the 2nd pair of work footwear in 18 years that hasn’t been waterproof from the mfg. I didn’t have the sealer for my last pair 10 years ago. --UPDATE 8/20/18-- 6 Month Review After 6 months I can say that this is an excellent wearing shoe. Although I almost 100% wear this in a warehouse environment, they are not babied by any means. Only issue is that the laces are slick just enough that through the night the shoe will feel a little less than completely secure. —Update 2/24/19 — 1 yr review As you can see from the pictures, these are tremendous shoes. Again, not babied but not abused either. Comfortable overall after 1 year and the only visible wear is inside the shoe when my heel goes in the shoe Overall, I will purchase again. ... show more

  • Comfortable, good quality boot!
I've owned/worn these boots for several months now, and I still find them to be very comfortable and well made. Best boots I've had in years!

  • Excellent for moderate work use
Size: 9 Color: Black
Excellent work shoes. Extremely comfortable, no rubbing or blisters, and the traction/grip/slip resistance on various surfaces is better than any shoe I've tried prior. I paired these with some padded worksocks, and my feet have been in heaven all year long. They are almost like snowshoes in the wintertime, tho they are not waterproof. The downside to these shoes is that imo if you do alot of heavy bending/flexing on the jobsite, I don't know if they'll last too long. With moderate work use like I put them through, I will get 1-year out of them. The outer seam where the leather flexes is starting to go on mine and this seems to be a common fault with others I've talked to who have this shoe. Also, they are great in cold/milder weather but HOT in the summertime. I think pairing them with a pair of quality worksocks helped in this regard. But even after a year, I haven't had to use any foot powder and they do not stink like other shoes I've had. Since I usually trade my shoes out after 1-year anyway and I live in a mild/colder climate, these issues don't bother me. If you're someone who does alot of heavy bending/flexing or you live in a hotter climate all year round, you might want to look at another shoe as the faults of this shoe could be magnified in your case. But they work for me and I plan to buy another pair of these Timberlands through Amazon when my yearly shoe allowance comes up in January. ... show more

  • Great sneaker for heavy work
Size: 10.5 Color: Black
My son asked for these because he needed steel toe for his job. He told me that they are comfortable and have great traction for when he is doing heavy lifting! The fabric is easy to clean, and the sneaker itself isn’t too heavy considering it’s a steel toe sneaker. The price is great, and the protection has been everything he needed ! ... show more

  • Good shoes but uncomfortable.
Size: 10 Color: Black
I have been wearing these shoes for about a week now, they are waterproof and non-slip and the quality so far has been good. My only issue with these shoes are they are not very comfortable. The top-back of the shoe rubs above my ankle to the point where it started to make a sore, I started wearing 2 pairs of socks to prevent this. Also where the tongue of the shoe meets the hard toe portion it is really tight and wears against the top of your feet unless you have the laces completely loose in that area. Overall they are decent quality for the price, just not a good choice for me. ... show more

  • Sturdy
Size: 9 Color: Black-2024 New
Like wearing 2 Sherman tanks on your feet. Really stiff when you first get them, but they soften up a bit with wear. Very cool looking. I like 'em.

  • Great company, great product - sizing was a little off
Size: 10 Color: Black
Twenty years ago, I was on the Appalachian Trail wearing a pair of Timberland boots. They turned my feet to hamburger in weeks of constant rain. I got to a town and called their support line. They explained that I'd purchased "day hiking boots" and not the "real deal." They bent over backward to help me into "real boots;" they shipped them to the next town up the road. It was a shocking experience of company standing behind their product -- despite my misuse of the product. I wound-up hiking over 600mi in their boots. I've since been a fan of the company and their products. I ordered two pairs of these shoes -- in 10 and 10.5. Neither seemed just right... but I returned the 10. They're well-made... albeit a tad heavy (I'm using them for mountain-biking). Should they have a premature/catastrophic failure... well, Timberland has been good in the past... and I hope that they'll maintain that. Regardless, I'm happy to give them business. ... show more
