I know this throw blanket is for humans, but my dogs loved it so much that it's theirs now. When I bought the first one in Oct 2022, I left it on the bench at the foot of my bed. The dogs gravitated to it and took it over, so I'm back for another! I've tried multiple faux fur throw blankets over the years, and wound up giving or throwing away most of them because they were shedding or too heavy or had to be dry-cleaned. The most important thing to me, in addition to it being pretty and soft, was that it would not shed, was relatively lightweight and was machine washable. This one is a winner on all counts. I've washed the first one at least once a month with no problems, shrinkage or shedding. Now, on to buying a second one for me! I have not washed it yet. The outside is very soft to the touch and the inside is soft as well. I would not call it light weight; the weight is perfect if you are looking for warmth. I have 4 in white and 4 in brown mink. I love these. My dog is addicted and has to lay on them on the sofas. I often curl up under one to watch tv on the sofa. They look expensive. They wash well. I have washed them probably 100 times on eco warm or cold setting. They dry well in the dryer on low. They still look new after 2-3 years. I cannot recommend them highly enough. ... show more

    • WELL WORTH THE PRICE...NO SHEDDING...FINALLY!!!

I have ordered several "throw" blankets looking for the softness, heavier weight, right color, size and most importantly NO SHEDDING! I have tried the larger blankets/throws that have one side that is super soft and the other size "sherpa" material. After washing it and drying on extra low, I find the sherpa size not only collects every little fuzzy bit of material but it snags on toes, toe nails and is not as soft as the opposite side. We then flip the blanket over and only use the softer size but that leaves the sherpa matieral side exposed with all the bits of fuzz that has accumulated from other laundry. I have tried many of the $19.99-$29.99 price ranged faux fur blankets where one side is faux fur and the other a soft material as well. As soon as it comes out of the packaging, the first test I do with it is rub the blanket against a long sleeve shirt or my yoga pants and check for shedding. Almost every single one SHEDS. I then think, "well let me just put it in the wash and see if I can get the 'initial' shedding off and see if it will be fine." Well after washing in cold water and then drying on extra low air and then air only setting, it clogs up my lint trap and still sheds an extreme amount here after. I have even tried washing it twice and drying it only on air only setting and still the same thing. A lint trap FULL and the blanket also shedding when doing the "rub test". Example of SHEDDING blanket I have ordered would be: - Upper Echelon Products: Everlasting Comfort Luxury Faux Fur Throw Blanket - Ultra Soft and Fluffy - 50 x 65 ($29.95 price point) NOTE: I ordered two of these and both had the same major shedding results. Example of SHERPA blanket on one side and soft plush on the other side I have ordered would be: - Chanasya Faux Fur Throw Blanket | Super Soft Fuzzy Light Weight Luxurious Cozy Warm Fluffy Plush Hypoallergenic Blanket 60x70 in Chocolate ($33.98) and the Queen Size in Teal ($49.98). Example of another good NON-SHEDDING blanket but with 2 throw pillow covers I have ordered would be: - Comfort Spaces Ruched Faux Fur Plush 3 Piece Throw Blanket Set Ultra Soft Fluffy With 2 Square Pillow Covers, 50"x60", Ivory ($39.99) NOTE: This is one blanket (50x60) and comes with 2 larger throw pillow covers. Although this too passes the NO SHEDDING tests, the blanket is much lighter weight than the one I am reviewing. So if you light a lighter blanket, then this would be a good choice. So then I came across THIS blanket and of course, I read all the reviews (as I did with all the other blankets) and I kept my fingers crossed. It was a little pricier than the other blankets BUT after all the buying, testing and returning, this one finally meets my expectations! I did the initial rub test...NO SHEDDING. I then washed on COLD setting and dried on EXRTA LOW head setting and the lint trap had barely anything in it. Likely the remnants from the last blankets I had dried in the dryer. I then did the "rub test" and there was NO shedding at all on my clothes. Yay! Finally a blanket that meets the basic requirement of NOT SHEDDING. This blanket has some good weight to it as well, which I really like. The texture on BOTH sides are wonderfully soft and won't pill up and snap like the sherpa style blankets. I have ordered TWO of these blankets (in Cloud color) and absolutely feel they are well worth the $39.99 price point for the quality. I hope this review helps others that are in search of a NON-SHEDDING, double sided super soft blanket that washes well (in COLD and dry on extra low heat) so you don't have to go through the blanket search/buy/return like I had to. First of all,, I loved that when I opened the package there was no odor. Amazing! I used the throw the night that I received it, and it's definitely a 4 season throw. It's cozy and warm and surprisingly light weight but doesn't skimp on material. I have several faux fur throws and this is the softest and the lightest in weight, which I love. I purchased the rose blanket and got it in the mail today. Love the quality and it’s super soft and cozy! My cats are already making muffins on it lol However, the color is slightly more light purple/lavender than pink. It still works, but I just wish the picture was more accurate
