Inspired by our original yellow boots, these Timberland PRO Direct Attach 8" tall boots are waterproof and have 400 grams of insulation to help keep you dry and warm in cold-weather environments. From their premium Timberland seam- sealed waterproof leather uppers with comfortable padded collars to their heat-, oil-, slip-, and abrasion-resistant rubber lug outsoles for enhanced traction, these steel-toe boots are ready to get to work. We also added electrical hazard protection and Anti-Fatigue Technology polyurethane footbeds for all-day shock absorption and energy return, plus breathable, moisture- wicking linings made of ReBOTL fabric containing at least 50% recycled plastic.

These are my first pair of steel toe boots. I have been wearing steel toe safety shoes for many years. The break-in period for the boots was very short. Wore them for ~30 minutes one day in the shop. The uppers were a little stiff in the back. Next day; 10-minutes into walking, the upper stiffness was not noticeable. Walking surfaces included cement, asphalt and hard-packed dirt. Very comfortable. So far, I have worn these boots for just over 4-hours without issues. They are well made; the quality (form-fit-function) is excellent. Here is a caveat: For me, I will wear these boots sporadically; not daily. Please keep that last comment in mind. Next, I will wear them in a rock quarry for ~4-hours. I don't get how the same style boot, same size and same brand do not fit. Always loved Timberland Pro and their Gravel Pit boot was my "go-to" style. However, in recent years, quality and QC have been less than optimal. I still buy the same brand, but after returning my latest Gravel Pits, and this 8" Direct Attach version, I have settled on the 8" Boondock. ... show more
